I have a stock 96 z28 Lt1. I can trade my buddy a blown Lt1 for a nitrous kit that he will help me install it has everything i need. It has 75 100 and 150 shot. Is it safe to use on my DD. I know i need new spark plugs what kind should i get. I will only spray when i race. Am i gonna need a tune or something? thankyou

Your stock bottom end will safely take up to a 150hp shot.
Make sure you have a fuel pump that is capable of supplying enough fuel.
If you are running a dry system you may need to upgrade injectors.

You may need to pull timming if you car has a custom tune that advances the timming. Make sure your airfuel is around 11.8 on the juice.
Use NGK TR6 spark plugs.
Feel free to call our tech like for any help you may need.

I previously owned a stock LT1 Vette with Nitrous Express (wet kit). I sprayed it regularly with a 150 and never had any problems. I eventually went to a 175 and used that only with race fuel.

While I never had a single issue, I would recommend you do not exceed 150 to keep it safe. Another thing, when the engine was taken apart to stroke it, the main bearings showed signs of detonation; but that was probably from spraying the 150 on 92 octane.

No such thing as a stupid question while learning.

Our plate systems are very popular due to the great attomization our plates give as well as the clean looking install. Give one of our techs a call monday and they can walk you through everything needed for a safe system.

as stated NO DUMB questions
in my experience it is safe at 150 shot
however,be certain you have a good fuel pump i prefer a 255lph but stock will be ok.injectors,be sure your injectors are good,tr55 plugs, good wires of course...
watch out for #8 cyl. it tends to lean out

I plan on hitting mine with at least a 150, and my ultimate goal is 150 outta the hole, from start to finish. My car isnt a DD so im not SOO worried about it. And keep going up from there by 25hp each time. Well see how much it can handle. I got a pretty good kit, what else do you guys recomend for a shot of 150+?

I hit mine with 150 too many times to count and the last three times I went to the track I wanted a 10.90 bad but was having tranny problems going over 150hp. So I kept changing jets until I got the 10.93 @ 124. Which was a 250 shot.

Haven't turn the motor down yet,but it took it like a champ. I just don't recommend it.

It should be if everything is setup alright, and your engine is in good enough condition to handle the juice.

nitrous is the best way to find a weak link in your car, whether it be rods, transmission, clutch, rear end... etc, etc. i shoot 150 ALL the time, and 200 on occasion. havent pulled timing or anything. as long as you are in good mechanical condition, and only spray at WOT you are good to go.

Isnt the rule of thumb a stock engine can handle up to 20hp per cylinder?
