Strange Things
After I pulled over the car started just fine and I drove back to the staging lane. The same thing happened the second run. After I lowered the hit to 30% the engine didn't die but I still had the funky dash behavior and the Service Engine light. Should I attribute this behavior to the lack of timing retard?
One issue I do see is setting the Maximizer to 50% is NOT a 90 shot....it is a 180 shot 50% of the time. The 50% is the length of time the solenoid is open, it does not reduce the power you make when the solenoid is open.
When the car started to shut down was this after then run was over or in the middle of the run.
I was never fond of the nxl kit. Not many that used it are. Do you have the accumator?
First dp kit I sprayed It shut the engine off after the run was over. The fuel was off the chart. Dialed the a/f and it never did it again.
You will not see 180 hp on a dyno with a controller set to 50% but the above statement is true.

I have a log of my runs with the A/F but I left it on my laptop thats at the office. I'll have to download them tomorrow.

I did dyno it, and at 50% it showed just over 90hp gain.
What I am saying is that it is not the same as jetting the car for 90hp and running the controller at 100%
Running a progressive is just like flipping the master arm switch on/off...each time you turn it on you see the full power that you are jetted for, when it is off you see 0hp increase.
Progressive are designed for traction control not HP control.
