Best way for a T56 trans
While sitting at BK chowing down on some cheesy tots and my double stacker, I began wondering how the hell I would try and activate the nitrous while in 2nd gear. If I go into 2nd around 3,500 rpm, by the time I flip it on, I will be in the "spray zone" and therefore will need to do some tricky moves to shift into 2nd, turn on spray, and immediately hit 3rd (while keeping the car straight).
Should I simply move the activation switch to somewhere more accessible than the center console? Add a steering wheel activation? I might go with a progressive controller eventually so I can spray through 1st, but for now... what's the best bet?

Just get a nitro dave's window switch (same a Trick Performance) and it has a built in gear lock out feature. You can actually set it to come on in whatever gear you want it to. It just basically has to cross an RPM threshold whatever number of times (gears) you set it for and away it goes. Very awesome piece, especially for the price.

I have the FJO mini-progressive controller. It's got a second input that, if set up right, can be used to turn on/off the 1st gear lockout. None of the controllers actually know what gear you're in. They assume the first time you spray it you're in 1st, but if you're in 2nd, it will lock that out, unless you've got a setup like mine.
It's basically got the ability to control 2 stages, but you only run one kit on it. You tell it to run stage 1 in position A and stage 2 in position B. You can set each one up however you'd like.
It works nicely. You just have to make sure you pass through the upper RPM window, or it won't spray in the next gear. For example, if the window is set 3500-6500, and you shift at 6450, it won't spray in the next gear. But, if you shift at 6550, it will.
When you get running down the highway and want to run from 3rd gear though, you don't have to worry about the controller locking out 3rd if the controller is in the "no 1st gear lockout" stage.
Trackin'?
PS - Lingenfelter has a MPH based controller that you can set up for 40mph or whatever you'd like.

Hmmmph... well I hate the idea of buying another window switch when I already bought the MSD digital... but I guess it sounds like this might be my only choice.
I am really digging what Blur said... but how does it work? It cycle the solenoids or something?

You must use a laptop to program it, or a desktop + USB extension cord if it'll reach. I used to run my HPT cable out of my bedroom window before I got a laptop.

The wiring/setup is REALLY straightforward, but I'd be more than happy to help you out with it if you did decide to go that route.
No I use the Timing Tuner. I got it at HSW. It's $250 and includes a Window switch, N2O delay that is adjustable from .2-.8 sec., and it retards timing while using the N2O so you can run advanced timing while on motor. I like it...
any links to that lingenfelter switch you was talking about Blur,
Because i dont want to spray in first or maybe even second .i have pretty good bottom end and would like the spray to kick in in 3rd gear ,Would that be a good way to do it or just have it on a toggle switch were i could just hit 3rd and flip the switch
