Default Not sure if my nitrous worked

I have my hsw 150 wet kit installed on my ta. I tried spraying 75 wet on a bottle about 700 psi. I think I feel the slightest kick when it engages but honestly I don't feel much. I know bottle psi is low but this was my first test run.

I don't think you will feel a 75 shot with that low of bottle pressure. Try again at 1050

I hit the 75 shot on low bottle pressure with my old dry kit. Barely felt anything. Crank the pressure up to where it should be and you'll feel it for sure.

Is it normal for a 10 lb bottle to drop to those pressures after maybe 8-10 quick purges out of maybe cracking the line open 4 times? This is my first bottle and I wanted to get everything set perfectly.

I am wondering if my bottle leaked because my bottle gauge was leaking glycerin/oil

Keep at it and play it safe. You'll figure it out and be hooked like the rest of us. New to nitrous myself, but there's no way I'm turning back. Even if it cost be a motor. I'll just build it stronger.

I am still not sure if it worked or not. I added a couple degrees of timing (now only retarding 3-4*) and got bottle pressure to 950-1000 psi. According to my controller it is initializing and firing the progressive controller which would in turn fire the solenoids(70% @ 3200 rpms then 100% by 3700). What can i do to verify this setup is working? I don't really feel the 75 shot @ 950 psi on my cammed ls1 w/ boltons. Is this normal?

Set your controller to 100% at 3,000

then roll into the gas in 2nd while at wot above 3k flip the switch on for 1-2 sec then off.

Being that i am tuning the car myself and all, and since I spent the money to do it right, want to take this a little at a time. spray the 75, make sure thats alright, then bump it up, on and on to 150.

Here is my 2 cents,

I put in a Zex wet kit in my car. My first run I put the pills in for a 75 shot. I had only a "at my command" switch on my shifter. My bottle pressure was hovering at around 850 psi. I went to a nice abandoned street around where I live with a friend and we started at a dead stop. I waited till 3rd gear to hit the button.

I then my friend felt the aftermarket heroin. I have been hooked since. I felt 75 shot very well with the Zex kit.

I don't know about everyone else but you should feel a nice 75 shot. I did and it was great.

the best way to see if it is working correctly is to run the car at a track. check your mhp at NA and then check with the nitrous. the mph will increase and show you what your really doing. i use to run a single fogger 100 shot and i could not feel the difference but everyone watching the car at the track and the track times were proof the nitrous was working.

SAME HERE. run low 11's NA and 10.50's on 100 shot, but cant "feel" the difference. i can tell by the mph thru the traps though(about 8 mph). could be cuz my car pulls hard on motor, i dunno

I'm running high 11's with gears and a 75 shot. I can defineatly feel it. I also had a HSW guage leak on me after a bottle fill up. It's a slow leak but can empty a bottle pretty quick. It could also be introducing air into the lines (maybe) making it feel soft. Get the leak fixed and pressures right, make sure you are getting fuel and nitrous from your nozzle. Hope you get it figured out!

that timing is low. I'm running 25* on the 100 shot. I would bump that timing to 25-26 and see what you get. I'm sure its working. My wife can't feel when the 100 shot comes in, but she don't know that it normally don't spin in 3rd when just rolling in the throttle either.
