Default PLUG GAP w/ HSW kit

I have tried calling HSW Tech to get an answer, but good luck with that, even left my # no recall back. So Maybee some of you big N20 guys can help. When running a 200 or larger shot with the NGK TR7 plugs what are you gapping at? In the facts section it does not say. Any help would be great.

I also run that gap on the TR6, but the 3346 NGK 7 heat range is a non-protruded tip plug, thats why I ask, does the gapping matter with this type of plug?

There are a couple ways to get ahold of them. Call the sales line and talk to Matt in the morning, also they have a tech forum on their site that gets immediate answers. Hope this helps.

Actually, service after the sale is a very big deal. The HSW guys have been extremely responsive to every single question I've asked (and I've asked a bunch!). They even responded to my trouble ticket on a Holiday weekend.

This post reeks of setup. Another one of those "Dave's Nitro Outlet is great and no one else answers their phones". Reader beware.

I've never had a single problem with any of them responding to pm's (Mike, Matt, Rick, or Nick), and I can get ahold of Matt everytime I call. I don't know what the issue is here.

You called at 5:54 yesterday and we close at 6. It's not possible to return all the phone calls instantly due to the high call volume we have, they are returned in the order they are received. We offer a support ticket system for after hours/holiday support @ http://www.harrisspeedworks.com/support

We posted a spark plug gap post a while back; looks like a Moderator moved it to the master sticky:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showpost....98&postcount=7

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showpost....16&postcount=8

BTW, to answer your question, there is not a TR7 unless you mean the TR7IX. In that case do not modify the gap out of the box.

EDIT, Wait a minute, you called at 5:54 yesterday and then made this post at Yesterday, 06:06 PM?!?

Matt

The plug comes pre gaped at 32. According to NGK tech 32 to 35 will be fine. Since you are looking at 200 I would go with the 32

Jeff,

I am well aware you do not care for me by the few post you have made slamming me. That is fine. I have no ill fealings towards you nor do I have an issue with you prefering and recommending another company other than us.. I do ask that you refrain from bashing me every chance you get. But if you continue to take usless jabs at us and make un needed remarks that are untruthful I will report it to admins. It is against LS1tech rules.

If you have a legitimate complaint with personal experience about one of our products or our customer service by all means I have no issue with you saying so. If you just simply do not like me that is fine as well.

As far as I know Old school has never purchased anything from us. He recently had a post going wehre he was going through hell trying to locate an issue with a NX system on one of his cars. I sipmly steped in and tried to help him locate the problem. If you read that same post you will see where he praised the Harris system on his sons car and said it was working well.

So you see this is a HSW customer. Not a Nitrous Outlet customer. However I have no issue answering his questions if he can not get the answer else where.

I run the "tr7" which as stated above isnt a tr7, but i run mine at 35 they come threw at 32 like dave said.
32-35 should be fine.
i would never recomend just throwing plugs in however.
i have seen them with crushed tips so i 100% check them all the time.

now onto the bashing, knock it off boys, dont **** off the mod's im hungrey and havent eatn lunch yet and im in the mood to yell at people. keep this post and the rest on track.

Dave,

I do not care for your business tactics. You say one thing, then do another. I have little tolerance for hypocrisy. I've never met you, so I cannot comment on you as a person. Maybe you're a swell guy.

I call it like I see it (sound familiar?). The original post did not pass the smell test. It looked like a hatchet job for the get-go. If you feel that I have violated forum rules, go ahead and complain to LS1tech. As far as I can tell, supporting vendors do not have the power to ban/remove individuals and posts which are critical (but factual) of their actions. Perhaps you believe you have some "super power" which would allow said action.
