Can the stock 10 bolt handle 250 shot?

Can the stock 10 bolt handle 250 shot?
I am thinking very hard about spraying my forged 383. The topic came up in conversation with a fellow poster and he made some good points. I am concerned about the stock 10 bolt, to harness all the extra power I am definitely going to need a sticky tire. Everyone seems to agree that the 10 bolt and sticky tires is a recepy for trouble. As my friend mentioined on a blower car, if you start spinning you can lift and then get back into the throttle. On the spray it's all or none, you have to be at WOT.... then you hit the button and go up in smoke. I have to get the power to the ground to realize the benefit.
I plan eventually to update to a 9" when I have the money to do the Procharger.
Thoughts?

LOL... Yea, it will come apart.
I sprayed 100 shot and netted a 1.45 60's and it survived. But, it was on borrowed time though. Im sure one wheel hop would have been enough.
Try it and see what happends. It might take a beating or two.
And yea, you can get off, then back on with N20...

here we go again...
1st time breaking it= BONE stock with 17in mickys on the street just playing, busted the carrier in two.
2nd time breaking it= Bolt ons with mickys on the street..again just fiddlin with it, shattered it this time.
3rd time breaking it= bolt ons with street tires and nothing but roll racing, sheared teeth out of the pinion.
Now I have a 9in.
granted im a M6 but still your throwing a shitload of power at the pathetic 10 bolt. Best way to put it though, it may last you a year, it may come apart the first time you spray it. I wouldnt want to do any highway punches with that much power on the ticking time bomb called the 7.5 10 bolt. Just imagine if it locked up on you at 120mph or something.....That 250 shot will hit that drivetrain hard.

ive seen a few guys hit 1.4-1.5 60's religiously and not break it. i think GM Muscle is the poster boy for fast 10 bolts, he ran something like a 10.1 cam only and 225 shot on a 10 bolt...but i also have a spare in the garage for that fluke night mine breaks

**** i went 10.4 at 130 cam only on a 100 shot on the 10 bolt. didnt hook though. has been 1.45 on motor though. Went to hook it with a 150 shot. car hooked, didnt wheel hop and just broke through the ring gear. so it wont hold it.

ive seen them take that much, but its really just luck of the draw. my best advice, if you cant put a new rear in or dont have the money to fix it, then i would not spray it with that much. Either that or be ready to let it sit until you have the money. Personally, id rather have use of it while im saving up.

I'd wait to spray the big shot.I had 100+ spray runs, and I killed a ( I say "a" because I killed 3 of them) 10 bolt 2 days before I moved up to Alaska. It sucked bringing a broke car 4,000 miles because I didn't have the cash/time to fix it. Point being, once you get the 9" do some testing to see how much the old 10 bolt can take, otherwise be prepared for some down time.

it could handle it if you are on the street cruising......but spray a 250 on sticky tires with a motor that has decnt power and its gonna snap within 2 or 3 runs if not the first time!
