race gas for 150 shot?

No, but it's a good idea if you're on a stock bottom end IMO. I run a 93/100 mix in my car on the 150 hit.
I'm not sure what you mean by "race gas" though... 100 octane? 110? C16?

+1 here. Get the stand alone and run 112 in it. That way you can keep 93 in the tank. You also won't waste the 112 being that it will only get used while you're shootin' the nitrous. It's alot safer, and you won't waste 112, which isn't exactly cheap anymore.

cheap insurance man. you don't want a detonation because you got a bad fill up on pump gas. I say spend 50 bucks on 5 gallons of 105 unleaded and save yourself a potential 5000$ motor replacement. Make sure the fuel you run is unleaded. You run leaded you'll be replacing your O2's quit often.

depends, stock motor, built motor, compression, what type of kit, what rpm do you want to start spraying at?
Personally I do run race fuel, but I'm on a 13.5 to 1 motor, and would be running it anyway.
With a stock shortblock, as long as there's no cats on the car I would still put a gallon or 2 in the tank, unless you're on a standalone in that case put the highest octane in that you can, too much octane doesn't hurt stuff, only too low.
