Default any reason to not mount my solenoids like this?

im a nitrous noob so take it easy on me haha. i wanted a clean way to mount the solenoids and have as little nitrous line running around as possible. 20 minutes of tooling around under the hood and this is what i came up with. ive never seen it done this way so i wanted to make sure theres not a reason to not do it this way. it cleans up the install ALOT for me.

I think you might have a lean spike problem...Because that 1000psi N2O is going to be there instantly while the 58psi fuel might take a little longer..

There's a reason you've never seen this, it's a BAD idea. That's a guaranteed lean spike waiting to happen...

I take it that you're going to jet pre-noid? I would think you would get an initial lean spike. Other than that it would be fine.

yeah i planned on jetting pre-noid. nitrous outlet actually offered a plate kit with the solenoids mounted directly to the plate and i never heard of any problems...

so how do i avoid the lean spike? should i mount the nitrous solenoid somewhere else and run a hose from the n20 solenoid to the plate?

the lean spike is just from the nitrous hitting before the gas right?

i know theres a huge difference between 1000psi and 58psi but how much faster could the nitrous hit than the fuel when they are both mounted ON the plate? couldnt be more than a fraction of a second???

in the kit both solenoids came with a 1 foot line to go to the nozzle....wouldnt that make more of a difference than both being mounted directly on the nozzle????

1000psi could cover 1' alot faster than 58psi but the difference between 1/4" wouldnt be as great of a difference. ofcorse ill take experienced information over my shade tree logic anytime haha.

Seems right to me. With next to zero distance for the N2O and fuel to go, how could it be worse. As far as I knew, the longer your runs after the solenoids the worse it would be. With no runs after your solenoids, shouldn't it be perfect?

I guess it depends on the plate. The kits I've bought/sell have a longer line from the nitrous noid to the plate to get away from this spike. The fuel will still have to travel through the plate, but it does make sense to mount them directly to the plate if the lines are the same length.

I would just do it the traditional way... You can hide the noids pretty easily, then just put some of the black loom over the -4 lines going into the plate. No one will notice with all teh other black loom around the motor.

You are fine. We actually offer our plates with the solenoids mounted to them.
