M4 AR-15 for sale in central MN - $1300 OBO
I hate to sell this but I just can't justify having it around anymore.
Up for sale is an M4 style AR-15. It is an Armalite upper with a Lauer lower receiver. I'm selling it because since I bought it brand new, I have put less than 300 rounds through it It has been cleaned and oiled every time it was shot.
Accessories:
I'm asking for $1100 OBO for everything here. I would very much prefer to sell locally, but if you can explain the process to me and will pay shipping, I'll oblige. Thanks for your time. If you have any other questions or want any other pics let me know.
I am NOT willing to completely part this gun out and sell it piece by piece. What I WILL do if you wish is to take everything off of the stripped lower receiver (including the handle and stock) and ship it to your door (without the stripped lower, an FFL does not need to be involved in shipping). All you will need to do then is pick up a stripped lower and assemble the gun. With this option, I will take $100 off of the price, which is about the price of a stripped lower.
It is also up on gunbroker

I would hate to part it out just because if I end up not being able to sell the gun itself, and end up keeping it, I would end up spending more money to buy back the parts I sold Thanks for the bumps and comments though guys.

Wow.. very nice weapon...
I remember spending (years ago) over $2500 in an exotic AR-15 build-up that I turned into a selectire M-16 (full auto & 3 round burst) and one day I saw a sheriff start to drive up down the road during one of my "target practice" sessions...
I got away through the woods and sold the whole thing (auto parts included) to a pawn shop friend of mine for pennies on the dollar.
AR's are great guns out to 200 yards..... I'll get another one someday.

Haha yeah man you are definitely lucky. Without a class 3 you would've been spending a few years in the pokey.
I have everything ranged out to about 200 yards but yeah, with the right setup you could be looking around 500 I'm sure. It's a 16" barrel so you're not going to get the range out of a 20" or so upper.
I'm not gonna change the price on gunbroker but if the offer comes from someone on here, I'll take $1100 + shipping for the complete weapon to an FFL or $1000 + shipping for everything but the stripped lower to your door.

^^ Yeah it's a 10 year sentence federal and a 10k fine per violation...
I'm saving for a class III lower receiver.... then I'm on the "good" side.
To the original poster, that's one hell of a weapon. Somebody is going to get a nice item that will last a lifetime.

Thanks man!
Does $1100 seem like a fair price for this gun? I have probably $1500 into it all together and it's about a year and a half old. It has a couple scratches on it but it is in excellent mechanical condition.

If you buy the entire gun I would need a copy of a dealer's FFL so I could ship it to him and you would pick it up from him. He would probably charge you for that unless you have a friend or family member with an FFL. They typically don't charge very much to do this.
However, if I take off the stripped lower I could ship everything but that directly to your house via US mail, since technically it isn't a firearm as defined by the ATF. What you would need to do then is pick up a stripped lower from an FFL (costs ~$100-$120) and have someone assemble the weapon. If you have a friend in the armed forces, they will most likely know how.
