Default 1993 700R4 (4l60) for sale

Up for sale is a 1993 700R4 out of a z28 Camaro. It has 75000 miles on it and runs perfectly. The only reason i am selling it is that i am swapping to a six speed in my Falcon. I just drained most of the oil out the other day and it looked perfect. It has a filter with 3k miles on it. I have only owned it since 72k miles but i think the owner before me treated it well, as the z28 was 100% stock and in nice shape when i got it and had only been totalled in the front. It held up nicely for me and it shifts nice and smooth. Does not slip behind my near stock motor and will chirp second at WOT. As far as i can tell it has never been rebuilt. The flexplate and stock converter come with it if you want it. It would be a perfect tranny for someone just needing a replacement for their f body or wanting to put it in an older car that does not have overdrive. It is not computer controlled.

I am asking $500 obo plus shipping from West Virginia, 25177. If you have any questions, please send me a PM. Thanks

sorry to break it to ya, that is if you supply your own tranny. so your comparing the price of a stock tranny with low miles to the price of building a race tranny, hmmm... makes sense

Not trying to be a dick here, but 75k miles on an lt1 transmission is not low mileage...I had mine rebuilt at 83k. Most people are probably looking at your transmission for a core because very likely it will have to be rebuilt within the next 15k-20k miles.

well your doing a pretty good job considering your not trying. and im not sayin that my tranny will last another 100 thousand miles but its definitly got some life left if someone is looking for a replacement for a daily driver. i wouldnt put a built motor in front of it by any means

My 93 z has 130k hard miles on the original auto and will still chirp 2nd at WOT every time (with 2.73:1 gears).

I have heard and read that the 4L60 is far more reliable than the 4L60E.
