GM is supposed to be coming out with a small-bore L92 head for use on LS1's. If they keep them reasonably priced, it would be a great upgrade for any LS1 with stock heads/intake. You can buy a brand new L76 intake to go with them for around 230.00. Somthing to think about.

I've seen those, GM is trying to catch up with AM heads and doing a decent job. Lots good options these days.

Hey has anyone herd about the Typhoon intake. If you do a comparison on this and the Fast 78 there is only a 2.5hp difference.. in just wondering for money would it be better?
Item# 52060
$559.95
Availability: Usually ships the next business day
Product Description
85mm Typhoon Intake Manifold - Polished

This manifold is the result of over one year of development and testing and has proven to provide significant increases in power.

In direct comparison dyno tests against a factory LS6 intake manifold, the Typhoon produced 17.7 more horsepower* at 6,200 rpm. It also makes more power and torque at low and mid-range engine speeds than other aftermarket manifolds. This design features a larger plenum volume, which makes the manifold suitable for larger displacement engines.

The manifold has nitrous bosses positioned on the port runners. The LS1/LS6 version comes with either an 85 mm inlet or a 96mm inlet.

Professional Products offers 80 and 85mm throttle bodies and 96 and 101mm throttle bodies are in development.* The 96mm inlet version of this manifold can be used with either the stock 91mm LS2 throttle body or various aftermarket large bore throttle bodies.

The manifold kit INCLUDES high volume fuel rails with stainless steel mounting brackets, stainless hardware, and a -6 AN stainless braided crossover hose. Additional fittings are also supplied that allows connection to the stock fuel inlet line.

Note: This manifold is not legal for sale or use on any pollution controlled motor vehicle.

*Dyno test was on a 350 cid LS1 with AFR heads and Lunati cam.

*96mm and 101mm throttle bodies have a projected availability of September 2007.

Note: Fuel rails not shown in satin photo but are included in manifold kit.

Honestly, for the money I'd stick with a LS6 manifold or go with a used FAST 90. GM spent millions in R&D on the composite manifold and you don't really see aluminum manifolds on the newer cars for a reason. An aluminum manifold will most likely have considerable heat soak on a daily driver which will cost you power. That money could be better spent on other things IMO.

My .02.
