Mike I dont remember what rpm but I know I was revving quite high I am thinking I'm going to run the 3.89's also I think 4.11's are more for stock powered cars When are you installing your 9"

If you were revving high through the traps, you were probably still in 3rd with 3.42's. I downloaded a calculator for checking rpm's with, gear ratio's, tire height and speed. With 3.89 gears, an estimated 120mph trap speed in 4th gear should be around 6100rpm. With the 4.11's it was closer to 6600 and I and don't want to spin it that high with the stock connecting rods. I'm already pushin' the outer limits of reliability.

I was in 4th Running about 5500 or so but I dont spin it to high I think tommy set my limiter at 66 but I was trying to stay lower in the rpm's still need injectors to fatten it up on top run's lean

You can find brand new bare Strange "S" cases all day long on eBay for around 230.00. Been doing some research on them, and they seem like a great center section case at an affordable price. Should be at least as strong as the old Ford "N" cases.
