Pretty fun day at the lake some interesting cars out there, lots of stupid bike riders..me and my buddy where rolling to race and some chick flew right between us right when we where about to go...freaking dumb ***. ohh and some guy let his girl ride his new bike and she obvioulsy was new to bikes came back to park it and was like "well i dindn't break it baby"! and as she gets off his bike bam! she totally just dumps his bike on the ground so damn funny.. I found that i think now i have a better understanding of how deep our group is i didnt loose a race today i beat every car by 3 or 4 car lengths..lol my buddys cobalt ss was the first kill..which is stock he just wanted to see how fast it was. we where hangin out and then some kid rolled up in a black 240 with a sylvia bodykit and a built sr20, for thoose of us that cruised out last time he knows the kid that bought that right hand drive orange 240 that was out there last time and he even said that thing is a piece of sh#t lol but we ran from a dig and i pulled him at least 3 car lengths by 4th gear. The best race was some older guy in a black Saturn sky redline he said he beat a motorcylce and has never lost a race...lol come to find out he has the thing built up stage 2 turbo, exhaust and tune apparently he said it is running 320 hp im guessing at the crank..either way i asked if he wanted to race he said yep and we did a 40 roll 3 honks i did 2 and he gunned it but it didnt matter i just ate him any ways..lol he said it takes alotta money to break the 12's i just laughed...im not sure what he ment by that like if he thinks his car runs 12's or what? lol a couple of euro kids and a turbo srt4 where out but they didnt want any of it after that last race. i tired to race the old guy in the maroon new 5th gen he says he just practices his starts and reads his owners manual lol..real nice guy tho. but yeah if my car is onna the slowest of our cars...we def are rollin deep this year..

heres a couple of vids not the best sorrry! but the first is the fly by 240 and then our race the chick with the helmet flagged us and was the one that flew by me and my friend while we where gonna race..

^^^ looks like fun!, i should have come out and joined you lol.

i had to do some tinkering with the SS though, replace DRL and fog light, lube all the zerks in the suspension ect.

I get to replace my DRL tomorrow, first it was p/s now the d/s.

Fun, I took my headlights out to make it easy. I replaced em both cause the bulbs were slightly different color

so ive been doing some more research on my soon to come head and cam, and i have 3 options for the heads.

stg 2.5 5.3litre, this is the budget heads
stg2.5 ls6, this is texas speeds recomendation, they flow a little better than the 5.3's
PRC 215cc and these ones are the most expensive, but the best heads for the tsunami cam if money isent an issue. they are also the heads that are on the stock bottom end record holder from texas speed


so im between the ls6 heads and the prc 215cc. i will be paying about an extra $500 for them. i dont know if i should save money on the ls6 heads or just spend the extra money.

Spend the $ then no regrets... but i bet you a dime that you couldn't tell the diff... exp on a 346 bottom.
BUT the race you don't win.. you'll wish you went w/the $2k heads

Looking really good, looks like there are quite a few f-bodies that will be showing some people what these cars can do. Keep up the good work. If you have more pictures you should try to post some.

ya your probly right, always spend the extra money or regret it. i have seen that the prc 215's with the tsunami make 477whp and 422 wtq, so i might just bite the bullet and go with the expensive ones

^^^ that would be awesome, there pretty easy to make power out of, look at ponchos 408 it's a beast! If he put better heads and intake on he would be real close to 500rwhp if not more

That should be achievable. Mike made 490 to the wheels with his little ole 370 all N/A

And we noticed the intake manifold pressure was a little off, so that is his choke point. Plans are already in place to change intake manifolds and get a new fuel pump as that one was loosing pressure at higher RPM, so with those changes, he should see over 500 rwhp

Yeah I am looking into heads and intake in the future. I am running just 243's and a stock ls6 intake. Once I can afford it some Trickflow 235's and a fast 92 setup are in the dream list. But for basically being an LS6 with a few more cubes and a cam I feel I put down ok numbers. OH BTW I got my clutch in last night and wow it is like on and off. we will see how I like it driving though.

Yep thats the stuff.. when this short block goes away thats what I want..
