Do any of you have dyno comparisons with a open cutout on a bolt on, H/C LS1? Gain wise. Tom didn't dyno mine with it open and after doing multiple freeway pulls with it opened and closed, there is a noticeable difference compared to when the car was cam only. If I had to guess, I'd say the car is putting down well over 450@ the rear with it open. Gotta get it back on the dyno!

at english's dyno day and at PSI a while back i had them do a pull with it opened and one closed it only showed 2-3whp more with it opened. I might have the graphs somewhere, i'll check

A ls6 block makes no difference in power from a ls1 block they have the same pistons and rods year for year. My setup was 1 3/4 arh headers, fast 90 with a stock ls2 throttle body 2.5 ls6 heads and a tqv3 with a TOM WONG TUNE =)

Unless you have some crazy bottlenecks somewhere my guess is 2-5 whp tops. My 402 in my z06 gained 6whp at the very tippy top peak with the exhaust disconnected.

running shorties and catless mids with the cutouts before any bends
so yeah, i had good gains. i'd have to find the charts, but i did back to back runs with the cutouts open and closed. open was the way to go for sure.

on a dynojet, my LS2 GTO put down 17RWHP/20RWTQ (more) with the cutouts open

and the car was tuned with just a handheld diablo, so nothing really involved.
my placement.. as close to the engine as i could get (while still being able to reach and cap them)
here's a crap video with my longtube/cutout setup. the camera can't pick up the noise, but that's just at idle. car was ridiculously loud and painful to drive near redline. had the cutouts welded to the collector of the headers..actually cut a few inches off them..so that's about as loud as a stock LS2 can get
