I'm not too worried about it. The guy with the 300RWHP A4 also had a couple of mods noted in the thread. All was not quite as it first seemed. Anyway, I got my baseline.

Not bad at all. That's about what my WS6 was stock. But like Ellis said, at 5k miles the motor will gain more power. At least mine went from chirping the factory F1s @ 500 miles to smoking them @ 5k. So what is the 04 rated at, 350 engine, correct?

Yep 350 is what they claim this time around.

Hey Cory you almost sound disappointed ? I wouldn't be at all. Between 5k and 8k or so you'll be at least in the 290's which is not bad at all thru an A4.

How's the butt-o-meter dyno feel? and where are the pictures of the new baby? In fact I think we all need to go to Hooters so you can hand out cigars.

Ahh... you know how it is. Everything in the garage was above 320 rwhp for a long time. Now I have to work back up The Radix for the truck is still on order so it will be okay. Now it is time to begin the bolt-on campaign for the GTO to get it where I want it. Looks like some Kook's and some other small things may be in my future.

The car feels much more solid in my opinion. I had subframe connectors on the Hawk and it still didn't equal this car (GTO without connectors). All the surfaces inside are nicer as a whole. Fabric or leather covers most surfaces. Far fewer rattles. Better ride... still firm and sometimes jarring on some rough roads but that is expected. An overall quieter ride with less road noise, too.

The seating position is a little higher up and the driver is more forward in the chassis. The back seats are much roomier. I actually fit in the back.. well at least once I get there. Backseat ingress is okay for a big guy... egress sucks! But the seats are sooooo much more comfortable overall front and back.

I think the GTO suits me better now. I do enjoy the fact that I'm not trying to put the power down on wet hills all the time with a manual. That used to suck! The auto is much more forgiving of stupid drivers who pull up too close behind you on hills.

I sometimes wish it had a bit more tire... but then again... when I drove on highway 16 toward the Tacoma Narrows it didn't try to throw me into the jersey barriers like the Firehwak and Vette did. Must be the 245 tires. That was nice for a change.

I just hope I can get the Corvette back on the road this year so I can have that "holy crap! feel like I'm gonna die this accelerates so fast" experience and still enjoy the GTO in relatively stock form (relatively stock meaning whatever it takes to just exceed 320 RWHP).

You guys need ot go to Hooters in Tacoma once in a while. Lynnwood means a ferry ride over and back... That's $20 before I even get lunch! A drive around to lynnwood means about 90 miles one way. If you'd go to Tacoma once in a while I'd do that it's only about 40 miles one way (about $6 round trip).

The butt meter is pretty good. It feels a little better than it actually performs. I'll take care of that soon.

I might be up for Hooters in Tacoma sometime too. (Of course that means I'd need to wash my car....that hasn't been done since probably October )

How many miles were on it when you got it dynoed?

About 450 miles.

I washed the GTO last night. Almost makes me not want to drive it on wet roads... NAH! I let the Firehawk mind screw me like that. This car will be used hard and often and enjoyed regularly! Never buy a car that might be considered an investment- you won't get your money back and will come up short on the fun the factor!
