Mark, Ellis, Sardog I need a little help
Okay I received the part to do the coolant bypass and hook up my polished throttle body. The pictures I've attached show the problem. The new throttle body when closed is at the six o-clock position, the old throttle body when closed is at the five o-clock position. When I hook up the throttle cable it of course only allows the throttle body return to the five o-clock position and unless I want to idle at 3000 RPM I've got a problem.
So what is the fix
BTW Mark I changed the Drivers side O2 Sensor, the outer cover was burned though. I believe I have this one zip tied away from the header.

Can I take the cam off my other T.B.? Wonder what year it is?
This T.B. story is becoming a real comedy, I originally sent it off to be ported before Thanksgiving. Getting go fast parts that look purdy sucks

Is it the orig throttle body? If it is you can just replace it. And it will work.

I think my 2000 has the large cam on it. I'll have to look, but that is the problem - big tb cable cam vs small cam. And I think as Todd said there is an adjustment. I'll surf & see if I can find a post. Otherwise you have to swap the small one from Boyce's TB.
According to these pics, mine has that cam, so you must be able to make it work.

Want me to drive my car over so we can compare the setups? Friday night maybe?

Mark,
I will be back in town Friday night so that works for me I'll make sure I have Pepsi & Mike's in stock.
I prefer not to change the cam out as the new one is polished to match the T.B..

That shoul be an easy task to acomplish steave, didn't you just get all the polishing equip.
I would rather have it no polished than to go back to a stock throttle body

You Put all things in prespective steve. I like that.

I sent a 00+ shaft as requested(oval). It turns out you really needed a 98/99 style round shaft. I don't know if you don't know what year your car is or if it's hybrid or what LOL, but I can polish up another one and send the round style. I emailed you back.

I'm doing much better, thx. I had two close family members suddently lose health, one with cancer and another had brain surgery at the last second to save her life. They are both doing MUCH better. Except for breaking a drill bit off in my arm, I'm doing good. LOL. My oven is functional again and I'm almost back up to speed.
I let my family talk me into going back to work with them in construction/development so I will be payed better atleast. I will continue to do what I do but just take in a few projects here and there so I can enjoy it again instead of being backed up and having to deal with disgruntled customers. It just became more than one guy could deal with and my attempts at getting help didn't pan out. But I will be a bit more satisfied getting it back to where all my customers are happy. Because after all, I certainly wasn't doing it for the $.
