Default Mother f'er

Got rearended and I don't know exactly how much damage there is, but hatch isn't lining up like it used to, bumper is down 1/4"+, right quarter panel buckled at the bottom and is wavy at the top. ******* ****. I saw him coming and all I said was "MOTHER ****** NO MOTHER ****** NO!!!" braced myself and BAM hit us at least 30mph, don't even think he used the brakes. My sister's neck is bad because she was in the back seat and no headrest. Mine is a little sore and my dad is doing ok. And I was planning on FINALLY ******* racing the 12th because my helmet, DSL, line lock, and EVERYTHING I need will be here before then! I am so pissed off!!! GASHISDIFHSDKJ!!!

wow that's like 2 cars in a week. I better start watching out. At least you can hold out for a big insurance settlement though. Back injuries pay 15,000

You will not get some big settlement for this. I was hit 3yrs ago at 45mph in my red 01 WS6. Car was mangled and I was going to get adjusted for about 6 months then quit. Only got $5k. They base the settlement on how much your doctor bills are. No money to cover the devaluation of your car. They will get you a rental while its in the shop but it will not be equal. Plus if you use a lawyer he will take a third right off the top. If you use your PIP insurance to pay the doctor then you have to pay that back once you are paid. Trust me, my wreck was WAY worse and my lawyer fed me a line of **** of how he was going to go in and get me $50k. Yeah right. I got $12k, he got $4k out of it then I had to pay back my insurance PIP for the doctor bills they paid. I would have been better off by not getting a lawyer and talking to their insurance adjuster directly. I could have at least pocketed $9k instead of $5k. Once you mention lawyer to them they will refuse to talk to you. The longer you draw it out the better. Insurance companies like fast settlements to get it off the books. Especially with the end of year coming up. Come talk to me at work if you want.

Eric, listen to Eric.

I really am sorry about your car. That really blows! But do hold out and you will be better off without the atty. They are all money grubbing bastards looking out for themselves and only use you to get what THEY want. Don't settle for the first, second, or even third offer they give you. Make sure they fix your Camaro the way YOU want it and cover all your passenger's medical bills.

And remember, you can always fix the car and there will always be other weekends at the track. Don't let it get you down. It was not your fault and there was nothing you could do about it.

Hey dude, sorry to hear it but at least no one wa severely injured (I hope your sister recovers fast). My TA got creamed last year at about 30 MPH from the rear when I was at a dead stop and it wasn't a bad fix at all..........hopefully they can/will take car of your car right and she will be back up & running just like before in no time.

Yeah, sucks! Sounds like a panel replacement and possible rear support structure, so you are probably looking at a couple weeks in the shop.
Since Ellis mentioned it, be sure to ask what paint they are using and insist on a name brand (PPG, DuPont, Sikkens, etc.) Don't let them short change you on paint quality as that rear bumper will show it, especially where it wraps into the wheel well. Feel free to PM me if you have questions.

Going to the doctor today after work. Got a few estimates ranging from $3k to $6k. Frame has damage, have to fix both quarter panels, new bumper cover and the stuff underneath it. Bunch of other stuff that I left out.. Haven't had the Farmer's insurance guy come and give me an estimate and offer a lowball check yet..

F*ck that lowball stuff....I usually just call my Insurance and let them handle the negotiations and then they let me go to wherever I want to get it fixed and they do all the dirtywork getting the $$ situation handled. Has always worked well for me in the past.

Sounds like the one quarter may be crunched beyond realistic repair. If you get it fixed be sure they replace it. Odds are you would not be happy with a repair, and the crash safety will be reduced.
Good luck with Farmers

It aint the big orb, it's the clouds, rain, cops on the side of the road, cars on the side of the road, cell phones, chit chat, doing makeup, doing homework, reading for class, etc... I've seen it all on the 5 corridor. As far as the general populus goes, I have not seen worse drivers anywhere but here in the seattle metro area.
