Default I've decided to sell one of my Fbodys and it's going to be ......

I've decided to sell my WS6 and keep the '71 Z28. The WS6 is 100x the car the '71 is or will ever be, and it's like a knife in my stomach to even think about letting someone else take my baby, but it's become obvious that it's the best thing for me to do. Only 2 of my brothers, 1 friend, and my wife have ever even driven it. The only decision remaining is will I sell it fully modded, or return it to stock and sell the parts ? I guess that depends on the buyer haha ! Anyway I'm thinking about a price of $17,000 if I return it to stock and $21,000 fully modded. I could make alot more than that by selling the aftermarket parts separately, but it would take alot of time to do and I have precious little of that these days.

40,000 miles on the car. It runs and drives perfectly. It's always garage kept, and has been powershifted maybe twice in it's life. It could use a clutch since it's still on the original and the pedal falls to the floor if you shift after 6000 rpm. Typical fbody problem. It doesn't slip or do anything funny up to that point however and is a great driver as is. Car pulls hard to 6800 rpm so to take advantage of the whole powerband a clutch should be done. It was my next mod,but I just didn't get that far. I have NOT dyno'd it post-cam install, but would confidently place it's output at 400 rwhp, with much better power under the curve than 99% of the 400 rwhp cars out there + stock like valvetrain noise levels. I had a fun run against Mark (WAHUSKER ) when he was sitting at 392 rwhp so he can verify that it pulls hard. My own assessment of this car is that it's ready to do whatever anybody could want to do. You can literally drive it in complete comfort to Miami tomorrow, or enter an ORR event and cruise at 180 mph, or go to a lapping day and lay waste to 99% of whatever you would find there. The day after that you could start using it as a daily driver with complete reliability, and friendly day to day manners. It's that good. Why am I selling it then ? I've got a wife, 2 kids, 2 dogs, 3 cats, and I'm living in a 1000 sq. ft. house next to people who HATE barking dogs and loud cars haha ! It's that simple. I can't do what I need to and still justify TWO hobby cars. I've owned the '71 for 15 years so it stays. I'm going to put a big *** house on the 5 acre piece of property that I've always wanted and get the hell out of here lol !

The car Blue books at only a "good" rating for a private sale at
$17400 I didn't rate it "excellent" because it has some chips on the hood
(who doesn't ? ) from some lapping days, and to be mechanically perfect it could use a clutch. It needs nothing else. And I've got
$13600 in aftermarket parts and pieces in it. I have ALL receipts in a drawer. I do all my own work so no labor is being charged here. JUST PARTS !
I'll take
$17,000 for this car if I return it to stock ... or
$21,000 as it sits. Naturally if someone wanted it, but only "partially" modded or something then we could work it out. Below is all the info

Damn... that's a good deal for someone if they take the whole thing.

I'd definitely consider selling the brakes off separately. That would be a good bit of money back in your pocket and it wouldn't be too hard.

Wow man.. that sucks that you have to sell it but I completely understand why you would want to. I would probably make the same choice myself.

Hey, I dunno if you want to use them, but I have a few nice pics of your car online.

Here they are...

Damn Bill, sorry to see her go.....seems to be something in the water around here lately, everyone is selling off their babies.

Well worth it though if it helps you get that big ole house you want.
Good luck bro and keep us posted on the deal.

I'm glad you are keeping the Z28. If you ever decide to sell that one you better give us a call first because I love that car! I'd even sell all of Mark's toys to buy it. Well maybe not all....................

Damn Bill, I'm sorry!!! You made the right choice IMO.

That said, I want the dif cooler & Nos if you take it apart. (the first vulture begins to circle)

And if anyone wants to know, Bills car ran door to door with mine from a roll. He might even be able to pull me at 110mph+ if he could have shifted into 4th gear. That cam is awesome!!!

fuggin vultures! i WAS going to give it a day or two before I started asking about that kit. I'm suprised Steve isn't up there right now vulture-izing it.

You're going to be fast enough anyway, how about spreading the wealth a little.

"VULTUREHUSKER" is more like it.

And I am VERY glad you decided to keep the Camaro Bill. Linda would have made me buy it!!! As it is, this is another f-body I wish I could buy.

As for vulturism, I know how it goes on this stuff - speak up or miss out. Your choice.

I'm interested in the Borla should it go. If not, I hope the car finds a good home.

I still have a couple copies of the magazine sitting in my room waiting for you if you need one (since Boyce still has not picked his copies up).

sucks you have to sell it, but stuff happens. we can't keep our cars forever. i was hopin to see you at an ORR in that thing b4 long, but oh well. if you do part out the upgrades ill take the diff cooler and BGRA. also, if you have some parts that are geared more towards ORR, id be interested in that too. i wish i could pick up those Porsche brakes, but thats a lot of coin and im not to that level yet. Personally, id sell it as is, maybe takin off the simple stuff.
