Default The surgery begins

I finally got around to working on the super charger install this weekend. I got the stock fans out & the new one installed. And I got the drivers side intercooler installed. (see pic) I may get the other one done before I call it a day. There is quite a bit of stuff to do just to make room for them. I will have several pics on my website later today.

Oh, and I got my fuel pressure & a/f gauges working.

Thats awsome Mark. Did you get the oil leak fixed? Can't wait to see the Dyno #'s with the supercharger. Hopefully I can Dyno with you and have my nitrous in.

Nope, the oil leak fix will happen in the next couple of weeks. While my s/c is off getting it's mod. Then hopefully by the end of Feb I will be ready to dyno. We'll see....

I got the other intercooler on. The plumbing is going to need some tweaking!

I'm pretty excited to see this one completed. Its a different route than I'm planning but the results should be very similar. Get to work!

Thanks guys! I'm pretty stoked about it myself. Tho I admit there are several cars I want to see run this year. Ellis's is probably at the top of the list, but many people are doing things (Rick, Doug, Ryan, Steve, Doug, Jimbob, Bill, Jason, Jason, etc etc etc).

I hope to hang the blower tonight & check out how the ducting & air filter all fit. I'll post more pics if I get it on.

Busy morning. What can I say.

What is the new PC way of saying this? Oh yeah, WHATEVER!

I got the s/c hung on the motor. It fits, sort of. The plastic air inlet horn touches the fan housing. The radiator may need to move forward a tad....somehow. I certainly do NOT like where & how they placed the air filter. Tho I confess I don't see many options. A bigger filter is definitely in order. And I don't see how much air will flow thru the intercoolers, but I have an idea for helping that.

The good news is I can make it fit. But it's TIGHT! I'll go upstairs & post some pics....hi def ones will be on my website later. Time for a Mikes.

You & me both Jason! I'm going to see if using the ATI top radiator shroud moves it back far enough to give me clearance. If not then then I'll have to reserve some time in Don's shop & break out the sawzall & blue wrench.

Any progress on your new motor?

my two best tools .

Should be going on the dyno later today Should have some numbers tommorow

They assembled the motor yesterday, and just finishing up some small stuff today.

Since i won't have enough cash to finish the car before the end of the year, the old motor will get forged piston and new rods, and a whole lot of spray and will be raced this year, as it sits new motor will go in the end of the year with the new tranny and the rest of the stuff. to be legal.

So motor that is in the car, will be setup stock crank, forged rods and pistons, solid roller cam, old heads, edelbrock intake drilled and tapped, and a carb.

then thoughout the year just save, save, save and then mybee next year compete in 10.5 car class. just have way to much left to do to race that class this year. so i will race as is and try to run 9's in a carb 4th gen ls1

Dang, that sukcs! This going fast **** aint cheap!!! But at least your old POS heads should handle that much power, so you will get to race. And you will STILL be faster than me!

And me using your 2 favorite tools.....that IS scary!
