Default Pacific on Friday night?

I think I'm gonna hit the track on Friday and take advantage of the forecast for sunny skies, and cool temps at night, and try to get as many 12's out of the Formula as possible...

Anyone else up to coming down?

I think I'll go down Saturday night and race Pro. It's better practice to dial-in and run than to just take hits. You get nearly the same number of passes because you can jump into the TO lane if you get eliminated.

I was looking at the PacRac schedule, and they have Saturday listed as being All-Harley Drag Racing Assn (AHDRA) - Kresto Pacific Nationals for Saturday and Sunday. Are you sure they're running Pro Saturday night?

I figured I would go Friday because the weather is supposed to be a little cooler and they're forecasting some cloud cover.... Only thing on their schedule for that night is T&T and Jr Dragsters.

I need to get my Formula's launch down again, and figure out if it's running consistently now.. so I'm not real concerned about running a bracket. Would be fun, but I know I'd probably lose.

I'm thinking of going Friday as well... might play around with where I shift the Camaro, and how I launch. See if I can at least try to figure where the problem is.

There's a national/regional at bremerton all weekend. Chris' car broke last weekend at pacific or I'd be at BTown all weekend with them doing triple duty. He's bitchin about his backup motor not having enough power. Only 850-900hp instead of the 1150hp he had. "My cars too slow now" Cry me a friggin river. I told him I'll drive it and it wont be slow to me. He wasn't buying into it.

He said screw it. Gonna bush the lifter bores and go with new lifters and make it a 622ci instead of the 565ci he had. Shooting for 1300hp on that combo. The heads could still be ported for another 80 or so. The new lifters are 2K bucks. Yikes! No idea yet about how much the new crank, rods and pistons will be. I'll stick with my mostly stock stuff, thank you very much.

Oh yeah, I saw Kurtis Tamez' Mustang go 7.19 last Friday at Pacific. Didn't get a chance to stop in and talk to him though.

Yeah... the HS drags are a nightmare. Ten bazillon teenagers, shitloads of ricers, and there's almost always police involved at some point of the evening.

I'm considering this, IF I can get my tune worked out. Were you ever able to confirm if the Pro Bracket is running Saturday Don? If so, what time? The Bike Drags start at 9AM according the the website. Should we give Jay a call & ask? (or have you already?)

I did call and there are no brackets Saturday night. Should we try our luck at Friday Monroe drags? At least it's close.

I probably won't be bringing the jack as I drive to the track on my tires, but I'll be bringing the impact wrench and air compressor to fill up tires.

I'll be showing up there ~3:15 or so. I'll have a jack with me, but it doesn't fit very well under cars that sit real low.

I think I'm gonna be sportin the stock 16" wheels on the Formula tomorrow... less rolling resistance.
