Wink Finally got my cage.................pics inside!

Well finally got my cage today. Yesterday I spend a couple hours jacking the car up and removing the interior so I could get the cage in tonight. What a pain in the *** it was getting the cage in the car with the rear bars attached. I still haven't got the passanger bar to line up correctly, but I put it on to get a feel of what it'll look like!

The rest should be somewhat easy, except putting the carpet back in. I'm not looking forward to alligning the carpet up. Well I attached some pics to tide you all over for a bit. I still have my wideband commander to hook up as well. I don't even have the piller to hold the gauge either. Guess I should get on buying one while I got the car ripped apart.

Getting this cage was a pain in the *** and I'll write up the entire experience in another thread when this project is complete. I plan on writing an unbiased description of events from the very beginning to end of this cage purchase so that other's can hear! Maybe the vendor will get some positive criticized feedback as well.............we'll see.

More pics to come...........

BTW, weather.com is showing dry weather for the 20th and 21st! Hopefully it'll stay dry.

September 13th to October 12th....yep, it needs to be said along with a few others that have lately.

Other than that - now you will get to hit your 10's and push for that single digit!

Looks good Jon, now all we need is a dry track day. I hope I'm there to see your 1st 10 second pass. PS the cage adds ~100 lbs, so you better bump the spray up.

That cage looks great and will really hide itself in there. I really am not looking forward to being fast enough to need a cage I can't stand the idea of putting one in my car.

The cage does look great, you did a good job on the install, did you finish getting all the carpet back down yet?
Only one odd thing stands out - the handle on your hammer is still clean. It looks...weird

Was that a carpenters hammer I saw? Glad ya got your bar, so we'll see ya sunday if weather permits? I would come help but hurt my back again and can hardly walk, let alone bend over. You put the bar in with the rear bars attached? IIRC, they go on afterwards, at least that's the way I remember? Looks good though, and don't worry about the weight, you get a better launch and can compansate with jetting, go big or stay home. Talk at ya later.

Robert, that is what looks odd. Its a carpenter hammer! I knew it looked sorta strange for some reason though they do make good paper weights while putting something together

NVME - on a rag top its tend to be called a rollcage though I'm sure there is a technical disclaimer

It is a roll bar, but hey.........

And I'm running into problems. The rear plate don't match up bolt holes, and the plate had to be cut down some! I'll post some pics Sunday! It should be done by then..............I hope!
