What oil are you all running?
I was just curious as I reading about in thread on here.
I always figured running Mobil 1 10w30 was fine for an LS1, but it dosen't sound that way.
I put Mobil 1 10w30 in everything, well Harvey the RV get dino valvoline.
What do you all think?

Valvoline almost always. I've used the Texaco brand Havoline on the Stang probably all of its life (budget). Never bought into the synthetic stuff.. or really, never felt I had enough power/needs to justify using it. I would given the budget + the car.

M1 20/50w, if you use Mobil 1 then be aware that it actually flows as a thinner oil compared to other major brands. At least that was the result of one independant test that I read about.

I did some reading before I decided on Royal Purple. Redline was rated 1st when you tallyed all the points, barely edging out RP. Amsoil was a close 3rd, which was a surprise to me, and Mobil 1 was a distant (relatively speaking) 5th as I recall. I forget now what was 4th.
So I use RP because I can get it for ~1/2 the price of Redline.

In the Camaro I have been using Mobile 1 Synthetic 5w-30. But I'm probably going to switch over next year to Royal Purple after I do a rebuild.
My trucks (diesel) and bike get Rotella Synthetic 5w-40.

Mobil 1 10-30 since day one in the T/A, when I had it part way apart at 40k miles the bearings looked like new. Works for me, and it's relatively cheap compared to the other fancy synthetics, and I just change it regular. Chevron Delo 400 dino for the old Dodge tho. I'm not pushing the envelope on that motor, so it doesn't really matter to me, it's a good oil and there's a zillion of them out there with zillions of trouble free miles on dino, so it works for me.
