Damn Ford guys just can't believe there cars can be fast?

Hey you guys even wonder what they did in the old days? They stuffed the biggest baddest engine they could find in the lightest car they could find. Today that would be a fox body and a light LSx engine. The LS2 is a stout starting point and turning up cheap! There are 500RWHP LSx combo's for much less then the price of a complete Term 4.6 Package. Lighter and smaller installed package then a blown 4.6.

The Fox Body and a LSx were made for each other I would run one but "Pinks" has all but said do not bring them

Rott, again, I said 4.6 just as an example and you chose one of the weaker of the breed to compare to the biggest, baddest LSx to make the point of why putting an LSx into a "mudstain" as you so eloquently called it would be a good thing. But I digress. And me calling the car, not the person retarded was still just my opinion. If I was closed minded I would vow to own only one brand of vehicle, my Astro van says Im not, so there.

Ellis, there were 7 second Fox body mustangs long before the LS1 came out. There are plenty of fast ones and a couple around here that even you would struggle to catch. And to be honest Im not running out to put an 03 cobra motor in my car just the same as Im not going to be putting an LSx into it. The windsor based engine is plenty capable and the Fox body came with one from the factory. Thats my idea of made for each other.
When someone gets an LSx powered Fox body into the 6s or even the 7s I will take notice, for now I just think its a waste of a good car, a good engine, and alot of time.

Bottom line...This is a GM site and basically from where I stand...Ford sucks...

GM out sells Ford Period, and in China the second largest market for Automibles, Buick is the number 1 seller. Even those guys have figured it out.

Again your wrong. Tore up an 03 Cobra last summer. Driver was a complete *** as well. He saw me coming up behind him so he passes on a double solid line going into a blind corner. I knew he was scared at that point. He didnt want to lose to me. We get to the highway and he's ahead of the car ahead of me at the turn and he runs instantly from me. I reel him in and then pull away from him. 65 mph -145 mph. I drop back beside him roll the window and indicate I want to roll him. He wanted no part of it. He knew he would only lose worse. This is without n2o (I dont use it on the streets) and my old setup wich was just a h/c with bargain heads and a small cam

I do not under stand your fight here. Compairing the Windsor to the LSx is worse then compairing the LTx to it. Not even in the same field. 40+ years of trying SHOULD get the old Windsor fast. Look what the LSx is doing off the show room floor.

I also do not see why a LSx would not propel a lighter Mustang to those times when they are starting to do it with aheavy as hell F-body. I mean really it only took BMR 6 months to put the 04 GTO steet car in the nines and it is WAY heavier then a gutted out mustang.

What is the problem with dumping a much cheaper(per HP for sure) LSx into a 80s Four cylinder car? Hell we have had four of them GIVEN to us in the last year! Strip it, weld in a cage and buy and E-bay engine to start! $500 N2o kit and $250 used cam with $300 valve spring kit.

I really do not see what the problem is. They have been doing it on different cars since they start making them. Caddy engines , Hemi engines BBC engines Ford 400 engines you name it if it is cheap and light some one will put it together

Just think how fast your car would be with a turbo and a LS2
