Touche, but didn't you do the same thing not to much later?
That has nothing to with banging gears, How many 14 second passes do you have in an 03 Cobra?

Are you forgetting the Yenko cars Ken, you asked for the fastest Camaro ever produced stock, you could walk onto the showroom floor and buy it, drive it home and run 11 second 1/4 miles.

OK, let me clarify, off the production line..

Not Yenkos, not Roush, Not Saleens,

straight off the production line and on the truck, not stopped off at a third party dealer for mods....

Looks like they only made 69 of them, special order, not really what I call true production of an automobile...

keep trying though

It's called Google, I forgot Google has a clutch and shifter, so you will have trouble using it...
So here it is
1969, Was produced as to make the dealer modified cars just a bit slower.
I believe there were 69 made...Still at the factory with an all Aluminum 427.
It was sent to Gibbs Chevrolet. GM required an order of 50 or more to make it.

BOTTOM LINE!!!!!

I am talking about equipment I HAVE IN MY GARAGE!!!!!

Not some special order **** from 1969 that you had no chance of putting in your garage, nor did the common man have a chance to put it in his garage...

Lets keep it apples to apples not apples to oranges...

Ken

we are talking walking into any dealer and buying a production car we all can afford, like mustangs and camaros (had they not given up!!)

Oh, but wait till 09 09 this 09 that check is in the mail I know...

SO how many have to be made to call it production? you Cobra are not realy production are they? they were made on a second assembly line or some thing right? How are they doing the Shelbys?

Why not compare the 06 Ford GT to the 06 Z06? They are about even They had to stuff a blower on the ford but it seems to be working. But as Ford has done in the past it is pulling the plug.

Yes The Camaro is not made at this moment. You might also notice that the Bean counters that ruled GM at the time they decided to kill it are no longer.

BY your definitions I think ZL1s and COPOs should be included

BTW I would just like to mention my 03 Duramax absolutly blew away a 07 power stroke last night....not even a contest

Hey KEN

Let us pull the cars we have in our garages right now out and settle this you know the ones we own with our names on the tittle

Truck vs. truck, you are on...lets roll.. I'll even leave it stock for you and we can run um... wanna?

No ZL1', no COPO;s

Believe my COBRA to be production, it was built at DAP, just like all the other Mustangs... and not just a 69 special order ones.... I think back in the day Nascar set a number at 500 in order for it to be considered production and be allowed to race...

So lets go with 500 and above constitutes production....

Even when/IF the slomaro comes out in 09, wont be as fast as the Terms or Shelbys.... and yes, they are production as well.

We are having fun, I know we are.

Ken

Thanks for welcoming me to some god clean shiate talking...

I got an Idea, lets just add up all the HP in our garages

A lot of stuff, that is modified after it leaves the parent production line. But it actually rolled of the assembly line and showed up at dealership.

So your car is fast in stock form, However I would disagree on best bang for buck.
You paid 34,000 for your car and it still ran the same 1/4 mile times at the SAME MPH as my old 01 Z28, That car was 21,900 out the door. So which one was better bang for buck? I know I am going to hear you can make anything fast with money and you are right. I just start out with 12,000 more duckets...What was your fastest MPH. 110?
That was mine stock too. So for the the, half second faster on average stock Terminators are running stock, I can't justify the extra 12,000 dollars.

What makes you think it won't be as fast, are getting nervous? Ken none of your cars can still out run my 00 WS6. That has got to say something. It is also still the bench mark on a lot of Modular sites ,they are still trying to chase a car that isn't even in production anymore.

I call BULL ****!!

You tellin me a stock 01 Z28 could run a 12.67 in the 1/4 and 4.5 0-60?

I don't think so..

And, go ahead and try to mod your motor with putting **** tons of money in internals to make it last, the COBRA comes that way...

Best bang for the buck, and future modding capabilities..

Ken
