Question forged 347 tell me what ya think....

well i called tsp last night and talked to them about a new motor.... I asked about doing a forged 347 ready for nitrous they quoted me 3500 shipped roughly, with diamond pistons and arp rod bolts!!! Is this a good deal or should i consider another company only reason i went with them first is because i have had nothing but good luck with them so far!

I don't know if thats a great deal or not, since i haven't been in that situation. It never hurts to call around, you could try Thunder Racing or some of the other vendors on here an see where they quote you.

Talk to LME for a quote as well. They're pretty good about pricing and build quality.

You can still get the Weber racing short block for like 2850 until the 30th of June and it comes with 2618 n2o pistons. Might just be a bill or so to upgrade to the ARP 2000 bolts although I don't feel you'll need them. The 8740's are way more bolt than most people need. NVME was spraying over 400 on them with no problems.

**** send it to ellis...or have a friend take it, you'll be back in August right? I would let you send it to my house but we've never met face to face...I'm only buying your car. It is an option though if you want, it wouldn't be the first motor taking up space in my garage.

Yes, and for what you get, their prices are the best, imo. My fully forged 408 basic cost was 3999.99 and good to 1000hp (I did add some more goodies). In the n2o section a search of my name will bring up a thread where all the goods of this engine were/are listed, and some pics, for insight.
