Default SCHUCKS engine stand???

i need an engine stand by friday.. i think shucks has one but... u know how their 'parts' are..


just dont want to come home one day with a engine on the ground

And engine stand is an engine stand, check the thickness of the material it looks good it should be fine. Its more about how you fasten the engine to the stand than the stand itself.

Just take a bell housing/block bolt to ace hardware, make sure that you get bolts/washers big enough for the engine stand mine are almost falling through the slots right now and that needs to be taken care of.

Interesting? I am guessing you don't have an engine hoist?

Schucks engine stands are fine. I have two of them, one of them has been loaded up with a iron 302 ford with the intake and all the front accessories and it held up just fine.

Use grade 8 bolts to hold the engine on the stand.

Grade 8 is kinda over kill to just keep the motor on a stand.

Nevermind what I recommend Joey. Just take the ol' engine block down to der good ol' ace hardware and get sum bolts. Me and my pa do dat and we gots the fastest car around dees nuts.

I helped some one rebuild and engine with nothing but a tire engine stand Although it was a little 13B.

I have one and its had a good amount of engines on it and works just fine.

If your woriied about getting it on a stand just put the plate on the engine and get a good friend to help pick it up and slide it on the stand, I ve had to do it a few times. You should be ok as along as its an alum block, we've done it with a complete ls1 but that sucked...
