7th All-GM Oktoberfest @ Silver Springs Park in Ocala, FL October, 6 2012 The 7th Annual All-GM Oktoberfest at the beautiful Silver Springs park in Ocala, Florida will be Saturday, October 6th 2012. For those wanting to make a weekend out of it, Friday activities include a cruise from Ocala to Cedar Key Friday morning plus NPD's 180 count car collection will be open for viewing. The Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing is about 10 miles south off I-75 if you need even more car stuff before heading home on Sunday.
The 6th annual show saw 621 cars and trucks enter the park for a sunny Saturday with temps in the low 80s. 50 cars joined us for the 4th annual Friday morning cruise from Ocala to Cedar Key.
2006 marked the first year NPD and Silver Springs were able to combine forces to host the inaugural All-GM Oktoberfest at Silver Springs, a nature theme park in Ocala, Florida. The inaugural event was a 1-day event, held Saturday, October 14th 2006, with 477 cars in attendance. Since that first show, we’ve experienced steady growth with everything from bone-stock to highly modified rides, classic and modern alike. Add in the attraction of having other things to do besides check out the cars, such as glass-bottom boats to check out the natural springs, a kids petting zoo, and more, and the show is second-to-none for great family fun. Check out www.silversprings.com for more on the park and all its attractions. We will also have several manufacturers in attendance to display their latest products and answer questions.
The first 500 vehicles to pre-register by September 29 will receive free entry into the park for car, driver and one passenger on Saturday. Any entry registering after that date, the day of show or beyond the free-car threshold may purchase the show package for their GM car or truck for $21.00, and that still includes passes into the park for car/truck, driver and one passenger on Saturday October 6th. PLEASE NOTE: If you are planning to attend but not show a car, you'll be subject to the standard park entrance fees ($31.99/general, $24.99 for children ages 3-10 as of January 1st 2012).
Registration is available for all GM models early or late, as well as all GM-powered street rods and exotics. Everything from bone stock to highly modified is welcome!
Also, be aware that this show is held inside the Silver Springs park. "Coming and going" with your car during show hours is neither practical nor allowed. Registration closes at 10 AM sharp, and awards will be presented at 4 PM. Don’t be late, as you will not be permitted to enter the park with your car after 10 AM.
High Performance Pontiac, Super Chevy, Chevy High Performance, Camaro Performers and Muscle Car Review magazines plan to be in attendance as well (feature cars have been "discovered" from this show in the past).
Friday activities:
We will host a cruise from the NPD headquarters in Ocala, Florida to Cedar Key Friday morning. The cruise will leave NPD between 9:30-9:45 AM. Cars begin assembling at 8 AM. Please arrive at NPD’s parking-lot fueled-up, and ready to go. Upon our return to NPD from Cedar Key (we typically have lunch on the water at Cedar Key), the opportunity to tour/browse NPD’s extensive private car and truck collection will be available (180 cars and trucks).
The registration form should be available by May, and will be up on our website as soon as it is completed (I will update when it is online and you are able to submit a form).

The printed registration forms start going out via the mail today to previous participants.

We get everything from full on show cars to daily drivers, race cars and everything in between. So you might want to consider entering; it's cheaper than the standard walk-in park admission!

We don't currently have an online registration as the mail-in keeps it on a fair medium for everyone, especially on the first 500 spots.

Since we are past the first 500 spots, I can take registration information via PM.
I need the following information:
-Name, full address and daytime phone #
-Year, make, model, bodystyle (coupe, convertible, 4 door etc) and color of the car you wish to bring
-If you need any additional passes to the park (they are sold to show participants at a discount versus the regular park admission). Keep in mind each car registered for a $21 fee include entry for the car and 2 people into Silver Springs park and all the activities the park normal hosts.

We're about to crack the 1,000 pre-registered cars and trucks mark (which is a new record)!! We still have room for plenty more, so make sure you come out and enjoy this great event with us!

You can still pre-register for another 2 days; after Monday we have to start assembling packets, printing all the materials and so on. Remember you can still register on Saturday morning for the same cost as pre-registration.
If you want to pre-register through e-mail, my contact is dputnam@npdlink.com (must be received by 8 a.m. Monday). To register, please include your name, address, daytime phone number, then the year, make, model and color of your vehicle.

In response to some ridiculous rumors, the show is not cancelled and still on as scheduled. There is only a 30% chance of rain, so come out and enjoy the cruise to Cedar Key on Friday and the show on Saturday with us!
