WOW, now I'm interested in staying the night. I want to do the Tipp City and Hooters gathering. Is it possible to stay there?

I like the Drury Inn idea with the security. Last year we stayed at the Travelodge, right down the street from the show and the lot on Sat night was packed with TAs. They are not taking reservations right now though bc they are going through a change of ownership or something, told me to call back next week.
Is anyone leaving cars at the show lot if they are not staying at the Airport Hotel?

Are all the rooms at the Dury Inn reserved? Is ther anyway I can reserve two nights? tried on line but they're asking for a block of rooms code?

The Travelodge in Vandalia, right down the street from the show has rooms available, just made my reservations. I know that last year there were a bunch of show goers that stayed there. The lot was literally packed with TAs on Sat night after Tipp City.

So, I was reading in my local paper, The Toledo Blade, that the Dayton Airport Inn was going to be demolished. After being there myself for the last 10 years for the Trans Am Nationals, looks like Sue and the crew are going to have to find a new place to host the show. When it said 1/3 of the 150 rooms in the hotel were unfit to be rented out, I was like WTF?

Well that just plain sucks. I guess this is the last year for the TA Nats at the hotel. I wonder where we'll be next year? That place is a tradition of the Nats, sorry to see it go.

Yeah, they are good this year. I think looking into the local county fairgrounds or something would be good. Trying to find room for the swap meet and all the car haulers would be tough if you're looking to stay at a motel chain.

I'm a late arrival to the party but i just booked a room for friday and saturday night at the Super8 thats 3 mi from the main hotel for $49 each night :woot:

i'll see you guys there. i didnt register yet but i should be able to do that when i get down there i think

I'm probably going to just drive up Saturday morning, it's just about a 2 hour drive for me... not going to enter the show though...
