2008 Trans am Nationals, Dayton OH Anyone going this August? Little early yet, but this year they're breaking up the heavy modified Trans am class. This class has grown and now 93-97 and 98-2002 will have their own class instead of 93-2002. Makes it better for the older cars.

i have heard of a track, and folks going (Saturday am i think),,but its no way connected to the TA nats. I had my first year, last year. Its alot of fun, met some really cool folks, some ********* too, but thats everywhere. The cruise to Tipp city is really cool, the judging,,well,,,just dont get all caught up in that. If you were at Tipp City last year, and remember who one the "flame" catagory,,,,you know what i mean.
Tons of fun, stay at the airport hotel, its close, and if you need a break from all the TA action going on, its right there. Buffet food was pretty damn good too. Its not the fanciest of hotels, but the convience factor is awesome. I had my wife with me, so it was cool

I'll have my Formula up there this year...possibly my GTA if I finish it. I usually don't enter the show because I don't have much time to clean the car and spend the weekend up there. I always check out the show and cruise to Tipp City on Saturday though. I've been going since I was a kid and it's always a good show.
02T/A-WS6, wait til we get closer to the show. There are people that come from all over the country for it, I'm sure you can find a car or two to caravan with.

yesp,,here in Peoria too,,just started not even an hour ago, and everything is already white...wind is blowin super hard down here too. Im ready for summer.

agreed,,,that was much funner than finding out that no taxi cabs can be found after 10pm at night around there. My wife and I hooked up with a buddy that stayed over by all the resturants and such. Deceided to boooooooze it up, but left the car back at the show site (we were staying at the airport hotel) ,long story short, we tried to get a taxi to go back to the hotel,,,took an hour to contact any taxi's,,none showed,,i was shitfacedhammereddrunk, sitting on the curb of my buddies hotel (he was in no shape to drive either) cursing the taxi companies,,it was grand site im sure. 
we finally begged the airport hotel to come and get us,,they did. and i got to passout in a bed, instead of a bush outside of a strange hotel.
