I am glad that both of you are okay!( Too bad about the car, but new cars are out there.. just waiting to be picked up! In sweden i know that you get money back from insurance if you got the recits, to prove you bought them and not stole them. wrote this before i saw that you will get it repaird.) Grats on the repair!! Dang 18K!!! Thats allot!!

Well, I had worked on rear end twice. Same thing as yours. If you want keep that Camaro, You can fix it on your own unless you have time to do that job. Need go to first thing: frame alignment and find used quarter panel (appx.$300) + used rear hatch door( appx.$300-500)+ rear bumper??

well the relationship would def be over... cause after I got done yelling at her about how she didnt manage to slow down at 45mph when you were stopped would be my main arguement... 2nd... I really have a hard time believing they valued it at 18k... I have alstate and my car only has 35k miles on it and they valued it at 13k.... and the fact she is smiling on the phone would make me push her out into oncomming traffic... sorry I dont believe they valued it at 18k... just my 2cents...

hmm no, its not totaled, its not hard to fix rear end damaged, i've seen much worse cars get back as new,
btw i have a hemi charger.. that it so not fun

I've seen worse... we replaced a quarter panel, sub frame and 2 bumpers recently and all covered by insurance.... They also payed for custom paint job out of pocket since it was basically a full dip

So if the vehicle damage goes over the price its truely worth its concidered totaled?

IMO yes it is totaled. The rear quarter panels are crushed in, not to mention the rear subframe and bumper supports, lights, bumper, and so on. I want to say if the price exceeds half teh value of the car it is totaled, I do think you hit that mark. Who ever hit you, you should have them pay for the damages to have teh car be put back together.
