Default Fiberglass cowl induction hood

HI-Anybody have issues with these things when doing installation? I tried to do it by myself-BIG MISTAKE! didn't fit properly. Off to the body shop with my half assed attempt. Any idea what it will cost -labor wise $$ to have it fitted properly to work? I purchased the hood on e-bay even the Fu*kin bolts were too short when trying to mate them to the OEM hinge plates went to Home Depot to find longer bolts -as close in size (diameter) as shipped bolts-when I tried screwing them in that didn't work -never able to tighten them down completely -I'm frustrated & pissed!

thanks

not sure, about the cost just to have it fiited, i got mine at the same time i was getting some other body work done and getting it repainte, so the price for getting it fitted and everything was included. i have an ebay cowl hood on my camaro too. i had forgot about it, but my body guy did mention that the screws it came with did not work and they had to use some others. i dont think the price just to get it installed should be very high, i also got my T/A's hood installed and painted at the same place, and they charged me like $450, but i think that price was mainly for paint/prep work.

I bought a Glasstek 4" cowl and it took the body shop 2 hours labor to trim and fit the hood. I believe they charged $180, and it still isnt lined up perfectly. But good enough that unless you are picky you wont notice, which I did.

I just got a sunoco. The local body shop is doing a front bumper,ss spoiler, and hood + plus buffing the car for 650, I got a good deal.

of course thats with me having the hood, spoiler, and bumper in primer.
