Default Mystic Teal to Bermuda Blue?

I am taking the car to the body shop in 2 days and I have been looking very hard at the Bermuda Blue color they have on the 05 Grand Prix, Tahoe, Avalanche, ect. From what I can see, the color is nearly the same with the exception of some gold in the green making the green look more emerald and less hunter when the color flops. I don't think I will have to re-jam the car if I went with this color but I am asking the experts here if they know. How close is the bermuda to the mystic?

You have a great idea but i think the factory mystic is a good bit darker than the bermuda but I say go for it. The bermuda is a sweet color!!!!!!

Well I did it. Here is the teaser pic. I wasn't able to go into the booth to take more shots since they just painted it an hour prior to me getting there. I'll try again tomorrow to take a few and hope they can roll it outside in our beautiful 68 degree sunny weather.

The wait is over! The bumper, wing, door handles, and mirrors were being painted while I was there and will be ready by this afternoon.

Wow, ****. . . . That looks better then the MGM. . . I do like the MGM though.

But, that is areal good color to blend with the other stuff like door sills and stuff.

How much did that paint job cost?

Looks nice.

Thanks guys. Final tally on the paint job was $1200! Keep in mind it still needs wet sanding and buffing but that's down the road.

Why does it have to be sent down the road, what's wrong with the shop it's been painted at? Lol, I'm just kidding. Looks clean! Heck, I subscribed for the finished pics! Get em up!

Honestly, the shop that painted it asked me why I would want it wet sanded and buffed. He told me it only dulls the paint on a car. The proper method would be to wet sand, buff, clearcoat again, wet sand, and rebuff.

I think I'll wait a month or so for everything to cure and get someone else to do it.

Hmmm, I dunno. . . . Just go by looks. I never had a car painted.

But, if I did I would just go by how it looks. Like is it glossy and smooth.

Thanks. I will be taking some new shots of it now that it has been wet sanded and buffed out tomorrow at a car show.
