Default Repairable bumper tear?

This is the front bumper on my T/A. Is this repairable? 93-97 Trans Am bumpers aren't exactly common around here, is this fixable by a body shop? Thanks.

You're in Texas, one of the most popular states for F-Bodies. Look up Robbie ( STS95T/A ), he may have what you're looking for.

I would replace, you can fix but won't last due to the area and size of the tear.

It can be repaired. 3M PN 8237 works great. MAke sure it's clean and sanded properly and you shouldnt have any problems. Be sure to fix both sides.

New to bodywork, so I'm taking a guess at the procedure here. So I sand to prep the area, apply glue and let set, sand again to make smooth and paint? Thanks for the suggestions, you guys saved me the anguish of finding another bumper.

If you want to save some money and have a soldering gun you can melt it back together,(on both sides of the panel) then prep it for body filler...but the 3M 8115 is great stuff, but youll need to borrow a gun to use it!

Actually these bumpers will not plastic weld back together. Panel bond by 3m must be used. And make sure that after you sand the area you will apply the panels to you spray it with plastic adhesion promoter. If you dont that stuffs going to peel right off.

its pretty simple.........prep the area.....sand .....or grind.....etc.......place the body panels together......have some way to hold it til its sets.......the 3M stuff takes a day to dry......i put a extra dollap on the back side for strength.....

Next time I repair a bumper I will. I have not used 3m. We use Fusor and IES at my shop.
