Hard top A Pillar replacement (driver side)
Hey guys,
Any of you know of where to find a replacement for an A Pillar for a hard top 02 Z28? It's not a T-top so it's harder to replace. Almost no dealers carry it.
The part number is 10410021. One dealer has it for $78.00, but really....for a piece of molding?! And then to ship it to me, I'm looking at almost $100.00.
Any tips, suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Have you tried Ebay? There are some for sale now, just not sure if they are for a hard top.. You'd have to ask the seller...
Is this the style you need? This is a pass side though..

Yes,
That is what I need, but for the driver side. Also, it has to be ebony in color. Earlier models came with graphite. There's a breakdown on ls1tech somewhere on the years and interior colors that were used...so I'm searching for something really rare (unfortunately).

Unfortunately I may have thrown one away in my latest move, sorry! But I can tell you, look in you local junk yard. I had a spare for both sides in both t-tops and hard top at one point. Sure, they're different shades due to fading, but if you go get some good vinyl paint, it will look great with some prep.
My roommate turned me to a rattle can paint found at one of the O'reillys in town, not Krylon or anything like that... a three letter name like SAM or ADM. It's expensive, but if you properly prep the surface, you can't screw it up.
So get some pieces from a u-pull-it for ~$5 each, spend $15 (?) on a can of paint and some supplies, and be done with it. I can assure you, you can find a color to match and you'll save a bunch.
