Default Bondo on strut towers..Cracks?

Should I expect the body filler I just put on the strut towers of my car to crack without having a strut tower bar? I have a FAST 102 and no STB fits anyways. I used Evercoat Lite Weight body filler with the supplied hardener and I did a couple layers. http://www.amazon.com/Fibreglass-Eve.../dp/B000P70USU

In such a high load area ... yes, I would expect it to crack.

How are things going by the way .... did you get your RT-S's mounted up?

I would expect the filler to crack, it would probably survive if you welded the seams first though.

The top of the struts mount to the towers with four bolts ... the bottom of the struts mount to the k-member ... the engine mounts to the k-member as well. I would think it would crack just from the engine vibration at idle. I don't know for a fact ... it is just my opinion.

That or look up a mobile media blasting company to come blast it off (this wont put wire wheel marks in the metal surface)

They will most definitely crack, probably as soon as you bolt on the struts.

Do the hotchkis STB's not work either? (the ones that go "around back" of the intake?)
