I paid $300 at my local Chevy dealership 3 years ago. Part of it depends on how much prep work it needs. Aftermarket hoods aren't perfect.

good point. my hood was oem so there was no fitment work, just some repair work due to long storage and the original defect of a hole in the hood which was why it was an unused prototype.

Painter I visitd wanted to blend the fenders and nose and he went on a long list of things he wanted to do. Then he priced out the SOM paint and the price went up. I was quoted $1000+ for paint, prep, install and a buff of the whole car.
