I own a 2000 WS6 and also have the sail panel issue and wasnt aware until after having it painted twice and bubbling that there was a bigger issue. So what exactly do I need to get to replace it? I have a ttop car so just need a roof panel? And there are adhesives on the SB that you are not supposed to be am i correct? I tried reading every page? Im just trying to make sure, because I have a local body shop guy and wanna fill him in on this because he had no idea as I did not. Thanks guys and this really sucks!

By the way 6LE Id be in on buying the parts if you sell everything that would do the fix..

So is 6LE fabbing/selling the rear roof panel or not? I'll buy one immediately if he is. I searched the 6LE forum and found nothing that would lead me to believe this is real. Please prove me wrong!

6Litereater what would the price be for the panel? And could you make it for the ttop car? I found one on the gmpartdirect website for $513. Im getting into this a little late as I just bought my car and just realized the issued with the panel then got my quote for $1600 for replacing the panel and the paint

6Litereater are you offering them cheaper than gmpartsdirect? Thanks, If I can get a little more information Im sure you can add me to the list bc I want to get this fixed ASAP

We're not selling any panels yet and don't have a price for them. We're trying to locate an actual new GM part to look at to see if we can do it, and what kind of price we might be able to offer.

Holy crap people.

Step 1. Buy piece of piano wire
Step 2. Go to junk yard and cut panel off car
Step 3. Have panel painted to look BRAND new.
Step 4. Cut yours off car with same piano wire
Step 5. Install your new panel with tube of windshield urethane

Cost is under $200 to do all this depending on paint. How do you think they removed these at the dealer when it was done under warranty? The same way.
