Default im soo pissed! please help!

i just really need to let it all out and need some advice before i kill someone

-ok so about 6 months ago i was in an accident and although it looked bad
it was only cosmetic damage to the nose and front quarter panel

-so i take it to a place thats supposed to be very good

-well about 4 or so months later after many hold ups i finally get my car back..expecting it to be good as new...im not so lucky

-they forgot some small things(like attaching the front calipers )..soo it went back in for a couple more weeks...

-well i thought that was it but no i noticed now the brand new paint(i got the whole car re-painted VSG)was ruff as hell and now the sail panel has orange peel!!!

-also they did a horrible job aligning everything the hood doors ect but said that the adjustments were maxed out BULLSH!T me 17 yrs old never touched bodywork of a car aligned it better than they did....

-OO and when aligning the hood i realized that almost every bolt on the car isnt tightened down...i am sick of this and i want my car to just be fixedd! what do i do new shop...or what

sorry i just had to let it out im soo angry right now!!!!!!!

Shops like that give good one's a bad name. That's is absolutley rediculous. I'd be pissed. Tell them that if they don't fix it and fix it right you are gonna do something about it. Turn them into the BBB(better business bureau) and stuff like that. If they refuse, take them to court. I wouldn't settle down until it's done right. Hope you get it taken care of. sorry for the bad luck. Also the length of time is crazy. It takes MAYBE a week to do a repaint and that's if they take their time. And a week to fix a loose caliper. I'd have done it myself and had it done in 10 minutes. Bad service.~Cole~

I agree. That is ridiculous. Do what this guy said and hopefully your problems will be done. I have to ask though, did you have to replace the front bumper cover and fender. I have the same damage and I am trying to get an idea of how much its gonna cost to fix.

they are right that is horrible buissness, now for a full paint depending on how busy the shop is and how much they charge you if its just like a side thing they might put it aside for a little we are doing a 88 vette for some guy right now but he doesnt need the car and said do it when you can so its getting a complete paint and body make over to be 100% when its done... but we arent a resto shop just doin the guy a favor cause my boss knows him... they just sound like a jerk *** shop... fight them about this thing they have to make good for it... if they dont do what those guys said but if it goes to court id make then pay another shop to fix it i wouldnt trust them with my car again... and try to find a shop that you like that does good work for the future... shops like that should be put outa busness.... makes me angry reading about this...

if they say all the adjustments are maxed out, then the structure wasn't pulled right. don't know how hard it was hit, either they did'nt pull it right ( which is common, very few know what the **** they are doing) or maybe it was just a light hit but actually needed some structure work. you'd be suprised, it doesn't take much of an impact to move stuff around on a unibody car, and it won't be real noticable but it could be just enough that stuff doesn't line up right

also, if they had the calipers off it was more than cosmetic damage or you got some jacklegs working on your car....

no the adjustments were NOT maxed out they just said they were...i myself adjusted them much closer the only thing i cant adjust right is the nose clip its complicating...

and the brake calipers were not off i think they took them off because i had new shocks installed whilst the car was there...and they forgot to put the top pin in each of the front calipers

Well if you already readjusted it, your kind of screwed there. But the rest go complain and go above them if they wont help.

My car had some collision work done a few years ago and it too looked horrible. Panels were aligned bad. Paint dull, no shine. Had them buff it with a rotary, looked a lil better, but started chipping alot soon after. I had them repaint the whole front clip, looked alot better, but chipping again to this day. I realligned the misalligned panels myself as well. I guess people just don't take any pride in their work anymore.
