Default need to remove some paint but it wont come off

my cousin painted his side markers but he painted them a lil to dark so he needs to repaint them, the only problem is that the paint wont come off. He heard that gas can take it off so he tried that as well as some adhesive remover but it didn't work. So is there anything that can be used to remove it??

Paint thinner, lacquer thinner will take it off. Just be careful because lacquer thinner likes to take plastic off with it. Wipe gently.

They are the same thing. Just use either (nail polish remover is also essentially the same thing, but a little less potent), pour some on a rag, and as parbreak said, wipe gently.
