Default Painting berger panel

For those of you that had a professional paint your berger panel- did they spray it with clear? I am wanting to do one in satin black. I figured that clear would make it more glossy which is what I don't want, but how long will the paint stay looking good without a clearcoat?

Found my answer- unless you are doing a glossy berger panel there is really no need to use clear

clearcoating it isnt a bad idea for protection.. we make a matte clear if you're interested.. i'm sure there is a Sherwin-Williams Automotive store in your area.. ask them about CC947 clearcoat. You can also get anything from a straight flat finish to a straight glossy finish by mixing it with our normal CC930/950 clear (from an eggshell, to satin, to semi-gloss)... if you're interested either call the SW near you or shoot me a PM

How much did you pay to have it sprayed at a shop?

if you take the pannel off and take it to them.. it wouldnt cost much at all.. probably under $100... if you have them take it off or mask it off it could be a lot more..

I had mine done both ways, but shaved the "camaro" part. Its for sale BTW...Anyways 100$ for a panel, and then the work itself cost me 90$...
