well... depending on how bad the bumper damage is id say$300 - $500, as for bringing it to the dealer if they have a body shop i dont see why that would be a problem, but any professional repair shop should suit fine... they have teh same tools a dealer does it just takes them longer to get parts hehe... whats your problem with a local repair shop anyway just curuious? did you get burned once before?

what color is your car...? the problem with most bumpers is that for somereason what ever the plastic bumpers is made out of it will change the color anyway... iv seen this on numerouse stock brand new car... its just one of those things....

o it said that i forgot ahah... id just bring the car there... i dont know how many different variants there is for that color but hopfully where you will bring it will ahve the color chips and they will be able to match the closest variant to it... or if u want to spend the extra money you can have them blend it out and have it match perfectly... but that means blending and re clearing hood and both fenders... so baisically those are you options or at least what i can come up with..

I always feel it's best to spend the extra cash, so you can be sure it's done right and will match the first time. Good suggestion, transmaro93.

no matter what color chip you pick it wont be the same on plastic.. just the way it is.. it'll be close.. but 9 times out of 10 you'll notice a difference... blending wont really help for that same reason... but hey.. you might luck out and get a person who will spend a lot of time on it to make it look as good as possible... good luck!

dude plastic doesnt change the color of the paint. people only think that because bumpers dont match from the factory. know why? because the cars body and all the bolt on parts (bumpers, mirrors, spoilers etc.) are painted seperately in a different factory. If i paint the whole front end of a car and blend the doors then the whole front end has sealer on it and its all starting from the same color and its all gonna match.

not true... its actially in the paint... when the bodyshop uses a flex additive it can darken or lighten the paint itself.. so blending will be a longer process than a normal door blend for example... thats the most common reason anyways

but even so, if you mix the paint and you spray it on everything, everything is the same color be it lighter or darker. Real world scenario your not gonna make different paint for just the bumper and then other stuff for the car. blending can get more difficult yes, especially on a high metallic but if ur good itll work .

Not true at all. I have painted for more than 10 years, and the majority of our customers are always amazed on how well I match their paint, so that it all looks the same once we are finished repairing their automobile(some expect it, and others are surprised we get a match on their old paint).

If you know what you are doing, you can match paint by blending, whether it's on plastic or metal. Guaranteed....

u would be surprised how little extra time it takes to prep a bumper well. I spend maybe 20mins, using Alsa Pla-Stick (adhesive promoter/flex add) and a good couple coats of primer. A nice hand sand and its onto the painter for a perfect color match... I actualy spend more time masking up the front end of the car so not to get over spray on it than i do prepping the bumper . A loose bumper taking maybe 5mins to prep
