I need the rear of my TA painted. So I got a quote of $541 for the ceta from a paint shop that I know does good work. I think once I get my ws6 hood and some stripes (black to match my calipers and logos) on the car it will look good. just wondering what others paid for the ceta done from shops and if this price in line with they paid.

Be smart and just spray can the thing like most of the guys are doing. Less than $25 for the materials, should do the trick.
Personally, I think the ceta looks like crap, but it's your car. It just cheapens the look of the car.

The previous own of the car (my brother) hit somthing while in reverse (my moms car) the only paint damage is chuncks of the clear coat, but it is on the outer part of the bumper where the ceta mod would not cover. I still think it would look good with the silver since I need the whole thing painted. The main purpose fort the cete it to hide the carbon build up. I have no cats and it gets a lot of carbon where the exhaust is ( enough that I have to use neverdull to remove it). I think the ceta would look good and save me having to clean the back end every few days
. I have tried seafoam to see if it would cut down on carbon but it did not ( just blacked out the sun and realy pissed the neighbors off, haha).
I would like to try to paint the rear myself and I would do the ceta with spray can, no prob. But, I do not think I could paint the entire rear of the car and make it look professional. Plus I have limited time due to my work scheduel and would rather pay to have it done. The only painting I am doing any time soon (which will be this weekend or next) is the nursey for my baby girl that my wife is supposed to have june 14
.
thanks for the input though.

580 seems a bit high for just the bumper.. is it metallic paint? if so thats probably why its so high. Did you get a quote for the silver and the black? find out how much it would cost to do just silver.

Metallic has nothing to do with the price being high. Metallic is not expensive.

The guy that performs all the body work to my cars (recently) touched up my Magnum quoted me $100 to do my CETA in black satin finish...taking the bumper and reinstalling it is included. Asking $500+ is a rape....

Make friends with someone who works at a dealership body shop. I backed into something myself. My neighbor did an immaculate job on a few hours over the weekend. He only charged my $80. I threw in an extra $20 just to be nice.

Wrong answer, partner.
I have done this for more than 10 years, professionally. Mettalic in the paint, does not make it more expensive just because of mettalic.
Red is a solid, and it's one of the more expensive colors. The cost of paint has to do with pigments, pearls, ect..

I think I paid $50-100. I was going to do it myself but they were already painting pretty much the whole car including the bumper so I asked when they did the back to do the ceta and I showed them some pics and he just charged me a little extra for it.
