Default Is This A Good Deal???

So I am looking into getting my front bumper repainted on my bright red 02 ss. it has a lot of little chips in the paint and is somewhat faded. Nevertheless, I know a guy who does great body/paint work and he told me he (his shop) would do it for $350 otd.

I had him paint my roof panel and berger panel gloss black about 3 months ago and they turned out PERFECT. He charged me $300 otd for these and stands behind his work 100%.

My questions is:

What is the going rate to have a body shop paint the FRONT BUMPER? Is $350 a good deal?

$350 just for the front bumper. You think the price is reasonable?

ya i am thinking its a pretty good price considering the quality of work is excellent and he 100% backs the work. feel free to hit me up whenever you are ready to get the hood painted. i will get a quote on it when i roll in there for my bumper...

He just did a front end paint job on my friends cts v after being in an accident and it came out flawless...

It seems a little much. I mean red is a higher priced color but I guess they are charging you for removing the bumper and replacing it when done. It's about right considering it's at a shop.

ya 350 is kinda high.. I mean hes prob going to wet sand it too but still its just a cover.. but then if its perfect its worth it but I think it should be like 250-275 would be better... I got mine for 200 but not wet sanded (which looks good but I can tell the difference) mirror like finish..

Default Good Deal If!!!!

DUDE IVE got an 02 SS LE#1989 and went to the best body shop i know to paint my CME valance and i can tell you what, RED IS A BITCH to match. The red on my trunk is actually a shade darker then my bumper, just because on the diffrent materials there made of ,And my body man showed me his, like brand new SS monty carlo which is red,and the same thing with his fender to bumber color diffrence so if this guy is going to garanty you a perfect match, even if he repaints it 3 times350 is a good deal,****!,dont even worry about the price guy, the end result is what really matters, not the green backs, especially if you love your ride as much as i do LOL!! GOOD LUCK

i agree the red on those camaros are a pain to color match especially on the bumper with out blending the fenders and hood. its usually pretty close but you can deffinatly tell a difference in in it sometimes

I need to get mine repainted as well. A local shop that painted my custom bike said he would charge me $250. He does great work, and also stands by his work. He painted my bike perfect, I couldn't find one flaw after he was done. He's painted trucks that have shown up on magazines (not that it means anything) I guess its overall where you live, because a cheap shop down south texas where I live will paint your whole car for 350 bucks, with dupont and a decent paint job. Just my .02 cents

I paid $400 cash for a local guy to paint my bumper and it turned out great. He spent 3 days on it and that's with him taking it off and reinstalling it. He filled in almost every pit in the bumper and could have done better if I had another day to give him but I needed it back for the weekend. The paint match is great and the work is top-notch.

$400 is cheap around here it seems. I got a quote at a body shop and it was $500+. **** that. $350 sounds like a steal. And when I posted about $400 seeming too high, I got ripped by a couple body guys on here about how much work it takes to repair the bumper and repaint it.
