Default Has anyone ever Berger'd the rear, but left the letters factory color?

Thinking about doing this on my car, and don't think I've ever seen it done. Instead of painting the entire panel black, I'm thinking about painting everything but the letters CAMARO, leaving them stock color. Anyone ever done this? I tried to do a PS, but I suck at PS incredibly bad.

I think it'd be easier to go back and add the vinyl inlays in the same color, but you could probably pull it off with some careful tape work. It should look really good, but the edges of the letters will have to be very sharp for it to look right.

Give it a go!

Well, we'll see. If I end up keeping the car I will most definitely give it a try. Even if I screw it up, I'll just buy SS inlays and call it a day.

I was actually just gonna say to do that! Good thing I read all the posts before posting my own! Wsteun, what color IS your car?? That'll make a difference too. NBM wouldn't be noticable enough to be worth the trouble, but silver, pewter, red, and white would all look AWESOME with it! Swat

I think this would look good on a bright colored car.

It would look the same as the people who just add the vinyl letters in later.

whats the difference in this and someone just putting body colored inserts in after they spray the panel black? bc everyone does that, its a lot easier that way, and still looks the same unless you get an inch from it and stare hard.
