Default NIB 408 Rotating Assembly

Category: Engine - Complete Motors
Price: $1500
Location (State): TX
Item Condition: Used
Shipping Information: Item Can be Shipped
Engine: LS1/LS6

Ive decided to go a different route with my engine build, I bought these parts bc my original plan was to build a turbo 408 but I changed my mind for this car and now Im going N/A with more CI so I dont need these parts anymore. All parts are brand new, never installed, I only opened the boxes to inspect the parts. All parts are forgedComes w/ Mahle Motorsports pistons and rings-32cc inverted dish, Manley H Beam rods, Federal Mogul Comp bearings, Livernois Crank-4.00" stroke. I will also include the polished and engraved "408" coil covers I have.

Thanks for looking and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Which crank is it comparable to, the compstar, dragon slayer or magnum?

Is the assembly balanced?

Magnum... that is saying a lot, Magnums are very nice cranks. Do you have a part # for the crank?

all i saw was a ls2 404ci. rotating assembly on their site. or did they swap the crank for a ls1 crank? and all the cranks were compstar that i saw for the ls engines.

A Compstar crank sounds more realistic at that price, the seller really needs to do some research on his items before he makes claims that are far from actuality. As for the 404, I am assuming that the seller has a larger piston to claim a 408

I actually did the research before I posted that "claim." I wasnt sure myself so I called Livernois this morning to get the correct info from the source. If you look at the parts list for the 404 rotating assembly on Livernois's website you should also be able to see that the pistons, rods, and bearings are also different from what is in that kit. If you want to call and ask you can...313-561-5500

I got a pretty good deal on this stuff and Im still losing money at this price but it is priced this way for a quick sale. Im not trying to make any false claims about any of these parts, just relaying what I was told. I guess I will see if there are any numbers stamped in the crank itself and call Callies and see what they have to say just to be 110% sure.

but how many teeth are there on the reluctor wheel? is it definitely for an ls1 or is it the ls2 crank like the only rotating assembly listed on their site. not trying to be a dick just need to know in case i buy it and can't use the crank.

Would this be good enough for a nitrous/ N/A motor, with a good set of heads and intake?

Shipping to 80216 business address? Thanks Art

they would be a dog on on a N/A motor. you would only have around 9-9.5:1 compression. maybe less depending on heads.

+1 This setup is for FI or so the pistons dictate.
