I have a Speed Secrets (SSEFI.com) Built tranny for a 95 camaro. With at most...a 1k miles since freshened.
Parts include:
5 pinion planets
Beast sun shell
Z pack clutch pack
13 vain rotor pump
Modified valve body
Extra wide 2/4 band
Billet accumulators
Vacuum modulator (my choice)ect...
all the good parts and the deeper truck pan... If you go to SSEFI.com site, the car in the video is using the same parts (that car puts down 620 rwhp). In fact we have an LS1 F1 supercharged car that puts down 800rwhp thru the same tranny and his car runs 9's with a race weight of 4200LBS....My car ran 11.3 last year at pinks (total of two races since stall and tranny refresh)
The converter I had restalled to 4k and have put maybe 500 miles since...Guaranteed in excellent condition....Talk to the owner Ellis (twofast4lv on here) of Speed Secrets about what's in it...
I'm going 4l80e for my new twin turbo 1000+ rwhp set up.

I had it restalled and freshened last march time frame (still have in car otherwise I could look on the date Yank puts on the side of the verter). I drove my car only 4 maybe 5 times last year (new job). It's being stored under cover in my garage until I decided what to do with it....GOING BIGGGG. I have to pull the tranny and converter and engine out at the shop (just finished up a stroker engine that I put together) and we need to do the install before I can get the space to work on mine. So, hopefully after this weekend I'll be free to pull it. I'm also selling my 401 AFR'd LT1 with custom raised and welded manifold but I won't bother posting a thread until I get the tranny and converter sold.... I guarantee the verter is perfect and will have the tranny guru (twofast4lv) inspect prior to shipping.
I will say also you really have to watch buying used verters from people. Some of my friends (one is the fueiling mod on here) have not gotten the best condition converters. That's why my price will not go less than $400 I never sell anything other than what I advertise it at....

That STR really means nothing in a big stall verter...It already flashes high enough to brake the tries loose when your giving it heavy throttle anyways. The STR does actually help driveability somewhat. It really made driving not much different than my old SS3600, pretty good around town. The 60 foot for that was best of 1.61 but mostly 1.66's. I only made two races on this one and the best 60 was 1.53 I averaged about 1.56. Picked up 2 tenths total...If you look up some of my old post I have pictures of time slips and review of this verter vs my old SS3600 and PI3200. Don't let STR scare you. If your trying to get traction with a verter on street tires under full throttle you can go 1.6-1.8ish STR on maybe 3400 rpm. Depending on power it might grab on the floor. I stopped worrying about STR along time ago..To much power for full throttle take off so, I just modulate the pedal. If your wanting big stall and low STR your really going the wrong direction...
Don't worry if you don't want my converter but want to ask some verter questions. I would be more than happy to help out. To me it's all about going fast....

Also, if you do get a converter make sure you get a great cooler...not good, but great. I have a 28k and did not see more than 150 locked up on the freeway and 175 in town...That will prolong the life of the lock up and the tranny clutches tremendously...

thanks a lot!
yeah, after doing some research, the only 4000 yank im seeing with a lower STR is their pro thruster series...how do you think this would fair on a bolt on/minor suspension/sticky tire car?
i am still interested

Also, to help any confusion in the PM's sent to me, this verter is for an LT1 style tranny. Or LS1 corvette.

No problem, always willing to talk verters...
On a similar subject, I just bought my 4l80E with converter set up already for a twin turbo car and it's tranny controller
....Talk about expensive....

What you looking for tranny, verter or both?
Right now we have a LS1 Stroker car in the way were doing. But, I can have out of car this weekend (I was actually taking time off to pull the combo out of my car anyway). If your looking for the tranny only shipped I'll just get the weight from Ellis (if there's any extra weight than quoted I'll cover shipping difference).
