Wanting to trade my D1sc for a P1sc because I'm only looking to run about 6psi and the less $ I have into a head unit the quicker I can get it all on the car and running. It's a D1sc in perfect condition with only 2000 miles on it. Looking to trade for a P1sc + $ on your end. You can also txt me at 620-417-5522

Edit: Alright guys a lot of interest, but when you text or pm me please include the mileage on your p1sc and what condition it's in

Id run at least 8 psi man. Take it from me. I only made 5.5psi with my D1 although it made 571rwhp. It made a puny 467ft lbs and didnt come alive until about 3500-4000rpm. If i were to do it over, id run 8-10psi and make more torque and have the power come in faster. The P1 is such a weak blower compared to the D1

Yes. From the sound of what you're wanting to do, there is no point in keeping the D1SC, a P1SC will get you there just fine.

Your best bet is to use a restrictor plate on the D1SC - boost will come on sooner and you can set the psi with the inlet size of the restrictor.

Basically a big washer placed before the blower after the air filter. It restricts the air flow in, to keep the boost from going over the desired amount; more guys will use them on a big blower (pullied down) to get boost moving at lower rpm. ECS uses them all the time.

Damn that sounds like a pretty cool idea. I'm definitely going to look into this!

u can also just use a wastegate for better control. max out the blower with like a 3.8" pulley, set the spring pressure for 8psi. viola. boost will come on fast and stop at 8psi.

just keep the D1sc man. You will regret it, this is coming from someone who had a P1 and went to a D1. One day you will need a new motor and it will overspin the P1 more than likely and youll need a D1 once again.

I agree, if it comes time where he wants bigger, the difference between a P1 and a D1 aren't going to do much to satisfy. Might as well use a P1 and make some extra cash.
