Default Throwing 1133 & 1153 after changing PE Enable TPS?

Has anyone had any experience with setting the PE Enable TPS values all to 10% (basically to run PE mode all the time) setting of these two codes?

Any problem with running the car like this, or setting off these codes? Thanks

mike

ah makes sense, so because the car is running at the PE commanded AFR all the time the o2 sensor is never reading lean, always rich. time to decided whether to alter my PE Enable TPS table so that it goes into PE a little later or just disable the codes...

i guess the bigger concern is how it will affect my LTFTs. i guess if I have an established LTFT table it shouldn't affect it because it's going into PE mode and while in PE mode, correct me if I'm wrong, it doesn't affect the LTFTs?

Why do you want it to be in PE mode all of the time? What is the purpose?

I know someone smarter than me will pipe in here, but that is not how you tune a car.

What makes you think you will get more part throttle power by commanding PE at 10% throttle, all that is going to do is dump in a bunch of fuel in an area that the spark and other settings are not optimized for. Power does not come from dumping in a ton of fuel, the efficient burn of the correct amount of fuel makes the power and throttle response.

What are you setting the PE values to in your tune?
What mods are done to the car other than whats in your sig?

ok i left a little out. i was trying to isolate a "symptom". i think it's just the way the car is tuned from the factory. what i wanted to do was make it so that the car is already in PE mode when I floor it or when I take off at the dragstrip, so there is no transition time from closed loop to open loop, no time needed to change to the PE table and adjust the commanded AFR. i was looking for snappier response off the line and from a roll when nailing the throttle. basically i was noticing that on the highway in 3rd or 4th gear I would nail it, it would down shift, get into second, accelerate for a couple tenths of a second, then it would feel like i picked up another 40hp. from looking at my a/f ratios it looked like it was just taking time for the a/f to adjust to the PE table

It's a full bolt-on car with a stock longblock sans the LS6 manifold

I've decided to change the PE Enable TPS settings back to stock so that under 2800 it requires 64% throttle, then i drop it to 10% throttle over 2800. this should allow me to hit PE mode sitting at the line brake-stalling the car

ya i'm not trying to tune it, the car has already been tuned, just wanted to see if that would take care of the hesitation on the downshift and from what I could tell it did. i don't like the idea of it not learning the LTFTs though, so i'm gonna change it back
