ABS delete codes. Here is the pin configuration
Did the search and found some of what I was looking for. However, there was no information on the TCS/ASR light. After looking thru the service manual I found what wires need to be grounded for all these lights to be turned off. This is all done at the connector on the ABS modulator in the engine compartment.
Pin 7 is for your ABS light
Pin 16 is for your Brake warning light
Pin 18 is for you TCS/ASR light.
These wires need to go to either pin 12 or 15 both are grounds. I recomend cutting these wires somewhere in the wire loom so it can be hidden and put back later if needed. Just connect the 3 above wires to either of the 2 grounds and solder and put back in the loom and all the lights should be gone. I feel this is better than the electrical tape method. This is out of the GM 98 service manual. Hope this helps.

Correct. The ABS control module does that when everything is hooked up properly, you are just bypassing the module because you are taking it off the car so there is no way for it to ground the wires out to turn the light off. No resisitor. Straight up ground.

Factory GM service manual. Volume 2 the ABS/Brake system. You need to look at the diagram of the module pins. Let me know if this helps. I would really like to get this figured out for all years for everyone and maybe have a sticky made with the correct info for all years.

Looking at my manuals it says all the lights are Class 2 serial
bus and the data comes off the EBCM. Pin 18 on the EBCM
shows as a "Service Traction Control Indicator Control" and
is the ground feed for the TCS indicator lamp (not the dash
ASR OFF light, the LED in the switch). I see nothing for pins
7 or 16 on the EBCM in my schematic set. On the connector
pinout figure pins 7 and 16 say "Not Used".
I wonder what happens if you pull the ABS / TCS Class 2
serial data pin (25 on my '02 w/ NW9).
Is yours a 3-channel setup?

No 4 ch. In my manual it says.
Pin 7 is the ABS failure indicator Lamp output
Pin 16 is the Brake warning indicator Lamp feed-secondary
Pin 18 is the TCS indicator lamp output-failure
You need to cross refernce those descritions to your manual to see what the 99 up cars are. Those pins are normally ground when there are no faults. When a fault is detected it breaks the ground (how I am not real sure) and illuminates the lights. That is why cutting and soldering to one of the grounds keeps the lights off. I really appreciate the help on this. It has been too long that of an issue and would like to get this figured out for everyone no matter what year the car is.

Seems my pin 17 is real close to your descrition of pin 18. TCS switch signal??
Also, are you using a Gm service manual? Just trying to figure out if we are using the same terms or if they are 2 different published manuals which would use different desriptions.

I've searched and searched for this info with no luck. If someone could figure this out for the 99+ cars you might just make it into my will. I've tried grounding out each individual pin with no success. I've been let to believe that the lights were controlled by the BCM and could not be grounded out like the 98 cars could.
