Yes, I've even used mine to read/clear codes and see real time data on other GM vehicles.

Not a problem as others have stated.

It will read/clear codes on most GM ClassII PCMs, as well as display live data.
If the tool is not locked it will even allow you to alter the tune if needed.

Thanks
Mike

Yes, you would do so through the modify stock tune option.

Ok I am new to computer tuning. I am from the screwdriver era. I own 2 LS1 Camaros a 98, and an 02.

I just bought a diablosport U7198 programmer for my 2002 Camaro LS1 car. The car is at the shop currently getting a gear swap.

My question (so as not to start a new thread is) Can I program/save my 2002 Camaro and then program/save my 98 Camaro with the same tool, Or do I have to buy another tool for the 98?

Any thoughts? I am eager to play with my new toy!!! lol

You can read/clear codes, see real time data on each car, but only program your 2002 - don't think it supports the 1998's. Mike will chime in if I'm wrong.

Should I use a generic program that may come loaded on the diablo tuner if I have the following mods already:
BBK intake manifold & Throttle body kit
cold air intake
SLP MAFS
BORLA cat back
OR should I custom tune it with the diablo tuner (and is this pretty self explanatory??)
Car's a C5

The 98 is not supported by the Predator currently, so you'll be limited to the 02 for now.
Either way, you can only tune one car at a time with a Predator....

This may work out but custom tuning would be best to dial it in...especially that MAF....you may be better off with the stocker until you can get it tuned in person. Should be able to add a bit of fuel at WOT to get the intake/TB dialed in.

Thanks
Mike

hmmm.. Thanks for the reply. I have to say I am surprised at the idea that the 98 is not supported. The 02, and the 98 are virtually the same cars.

At any rate, I will have fun playing with the 02!!
